It's going to come down to catchweight or no fight for Golovkin.

He'll take the fight. 155-157 is my guess.
I think Canelo would negotiate a CW - maybe 157 or 158. If it's Cotto I think he won't budge from 155 as he will avoid Golovkin like the plague.

That said the GGG hype express is now careening forward like an out of control locomotive (funny how this happens in between fights and is driven by comments rather than boxing). If he beats Lemieux the hype will take off and be at stratospheric levels and I can see Team GGG just refusing to negotiate.

Let Canelo and Cotto look like cowards in front of the fans, and that's even better than beating them in the ring...

Triple G ducks NO fights in his own division...

Ward on the other hand just fought at light heavy but won't fight Kovalev "yet"... aka I need to wait him out until he gets old or vulnerable ala Floyd Mayweather's entire career playbook since Castillo...

Triple G would fight anyone at 160..but I guess we have a new 155 lb division..funny how the catch weight hypocrites aren't raising a stink as much anymore now when it's not Pacquiao asking for a catch weight...

Ward can fight Kovalev...172-175? Not a big difference, right?
okay...it's obvious you're Anti- Floyd, Anti-Ward and Pro-GGG....just head up to Big Bear and ask GGG can you taste it instead the online ******* ****...be a good girl and try being real for once!!

i agree..i apologize for the GGG fans that act like this..i'm a huge fan of GGG, but just like with pacquiao these idiots are turning me away..i never bought a floyd ppv and always bought pac ppvs then one day i just had enough of all the racist BS the pac fans would start and then finger point..pac never came out and addressed his fans..he accepted their delusion and BS..matter of fact he promoted himself with it..i grew to hate him and them...i pray this does not happen for GGG...HE DOES NOT NEED THEIR PROTECTION..im sorry once again

Floyd/Manny being replaced by GGG as the flame thread starter. This is what...the 9th post about catch weights in 2 weeks.

I see no problem with this whatsoever. I find it funny that so many posters do. It just goes to show how the big money fighters have skewed the opinion of fans with these catchweights, creating a new normal. I have never liked catchweights because it seems shady. But when Floyd, Cotto, and manny started doing it, it changed what fans find acceptable.

People will find a reason to criticize whichever decision is made. If GGG fights at a CW, he's desperate. If he doesn't and only cares about the belt, he's ******.

IMO, he should just keep fighting @MW until he can't make the weight anymore or he gets all of the belts. If Cotto/Canelo only want to fight him @CW, **** them. I'm sick of catchweights.

Hell yeah, good to hear I would do the same fight at the real middleweight limit or vacate the title. Cotto is ******, Ggg will have one title left after Lemieux, cotto wins ggg will have to wait and fight someone else for the title cause I grantee you Cotto will not fight without a catch weight, good. He don't deserve it with catch weight bull ****
