    So are all boxing fans.

It's a shame there are so few of them on this forum.

I actually wouldn't be shocked in the least bit if Ward takes his two cherry-pick-tune ups... and then finds a way to avoid the Kovalov fight...

HBO will never have him on the Network again after that..but I think Ward will just go to Showtime or BET and cherry-pick some more...

How Mr.HaveMyOpponentRejectedbyNSAC is even ranked on the lb for lb listings just shows how much the media really obsesses over undefeated records...

Hunter>> "... and when the fight comes we look forward to it" - it'd be more reassuring to hear him say ".. we look forward to fighting next fall"

On Jan 12th 2015 , when Ward signed with ROC Nation, Dan Rafael of ESPN wrote the following ... bold is mine.
"NEW YORK -- Super middleweight champion Andre Ward, who has fought only twice in the past three years -- mainly because of a protracted contact battle with Goossen Promotions -- is about to get a lot busier."

If fighting once in a year against a blown up Smith qualifies as busy then I think we all have a long wait.

Ward knew 11 months ago that he needed to shake rust - can we really say that he has gone about actively doing that with one fight in a year (by the time he fights again) - either he doesn't have rust or he is not interested in shaking rust.

Kovalev better stay busy and not wait on Ward anytime soon. Probably exactly what Ward is hoping for.

What's the betting we get a Wilder/Povetkin situation whereby Ward says he is "ready" and Kovalev is delaying and then Ward takes another 'warm up'.

Q: And, according to you, when the fight comes eventually? Because it isn't clear... You must know something... or you don't, do you?

He's the guy I would least like to piss off in the world.

              This^^^^

You would think on a boxing site that talks about the sport that there would be more fans of the actual sport. Seems people who do nothing but troll have found their way here.

Meanwhile, real boxing fans are looking forward to this fight.

That's great but you guys can only ride the wave of pronouncing you intend to fight Kovalev for so long...

I really just want to hear a date and an opponent for Ward's next fight. These guys need to hit the ground running because for all we know Ward's already physically past it. Need to see him in the ring more than once every 18 months.

Talk about fighting Kovalev in your next post fight interview after picking up a W.

True. All you have to do is look at the ****** comments in this thread to get a glimpse of that.
