A few days back, a poster bronx77 (I think, apologies if spelt wrong) listed 2 problems affecting boxing.
I think he nailed it.
The two worst problems within boxing are..... 1) having 4 official sanctioning bodies is insane, and completely unnecessary, those organisations will never be able to work together for this reason..... despite what those NON-PROFIT organisations say, not one of them has the best interests of boxing at heart.
ALL of them should put the sport of boxing first when making every single decision, but not one of them does that.
2) the old-school trainers/mentors are dying off, and being replaced by versatile, busy, mitt-men...... guys who run the basic drills, then go train an MMA guy, then go do some personal training for a celeb, etc.....
Guys are coming through with fundamental deficiencies.
