    Is Garcia still a force?

    Where would you rank him? He struggles with B-level competition consistently and his best win was against a blind Matty ice. His left hook is not knocking people down like it used to.

    I know Guerrero is not push over and comes to ****. I just don't see the same Danny Garcia in there anymore. I think he loses to Khan, Thurman, Bradley, Brook, Pac, Matty and Porter is a very 50/50 fight. I also don't
    t think we see Garcia in a mega fight for a while and he fights a guy like Berto next. I believe he chose the high pay/gatekeeper fight career mode boxing path.

    Can you blame him?

      He does enough to win, you can ever count him out. Yes never been completely outclassed or outmuscled by these bigger guys he's fighting. I do feel like Herrera beat him but he's beaten everyone else they put in front of him and most of the time, rather easily.

      What else you want from the kid? No one expected the second coming of Mayweather but the kid has talent and keeps proving it, fight after fight. Give him some credit/respect. And I'm not even a fan of his.

        Nah man, he is a shell of his former self he hasn't improved in-fact I'd say he has got worse.

          If he can fight that effective off of his backfoot every fight, he will be hard to beat.

          Gotta give the man credit eventually because I have a feeling just like at 140, he is going to continue to find ways to win even if it is by Controversial Decisions. Beating Danny is going to be as hard as beating Canelo. You will have to knock them out to beat them and given the Chin both have shown, that doesn't seem likely to happen to either anytime soon.

          Danny shows good versatility to his fighting game, his problem is that he is inconsistent. He seems to fight up to the competition and the moment but against guys he should walk through he seems to don't get up for those fights and fights down to the Competition and he end up looking very average vs Opponents he should beat

          I was very impressed with the backfoot fighting, the Philly Shell and the Timing with his Counters.

            Sugar Ray Lenrd:..Errr...Herrera, Peterson & Guerrero are not b-level fighters, they are worldclass fighters, boxers who don't make this level could only dream of fighting at this level...you feel me bruh? And who has Thurman beaten besides Guerrero?

            jmrf4435;
            and his best win was against a blind Matty ice.

            Sugar Ray Lenrd:
            Question, and who caused this blindness?

            jmrf4435;
            His left hook is not knocking people down like it used to.

            Sugar Ray Lenrd:
            I agree with you here...He still has pop in his punches, which he can still get by but he will need to fight differently. He needs to stop looking for the KO...

            jmrf4435;

            Sugar Ray Lenrd:
            I totally agree w/ you...and it might be that his power has not carried over totally at 147 lbs

            jmrf4435;

            Sugar Ray Lenrd:
            I see Thurman as an extreme danger to Garcia, but that does not mean he doesn't have a chance at all, I mean I saw Thurman get caught by a good body shot by Collazo (who was world champion like 10 yrs ago!). Matty? Danny ain't gonna fight him again so forget about it, he whipped his A$$! Khan?...the guy didn't make it past the 4th rnd...Porter & Brook? tough fights
            Pacquia seems like the one that I see beaten Danny, but he's retiring...

            jmrf4435;
            I also don't

            Sugar Ray Lenrd:
            Garcia better just take the best fights he can make, he's starting to get bruised easily in every fight. I say fight Thurman /Porter winner or fight Brook....

              I just don't see him making many waves at WW. I don't fancy him to beat the better guys in the division.

                This is just Guerrero that he fought and Garcia was on survival mode the whole fight. Lucky for him he was free to clinch all night without getting warned. What if the ref happened to be the guy in the Berto/Guerrero fight?

                  I think its tough to be completely sold on Garcia as a force at 147 or to completely discount him as not a force at 147. The reality is you can't argue too much with winning, but then again I think most are of the opinion who Garcia has been winning against leaves something to be desired as of late (although I thought Guerrero to be a solid opponent choice this time around). I don't think we will have much of an idea of Garcia's true elite level ability at 147 til he gets in there with a top 5 caliber guy.

                    The difference between the top fighters and the great fighters is a fraction of a second .

                    This is why upsets happen , a fraction of a second , timing landing evading all comes down to a fraction of a second .
