Would GGG have moved up to fight Ward if it meant a Mayweather type of payday?

The story is already know, when GGG came to HBO, they had a list of possible opponents(20guys I think) one the opponents in that list was Ward. In that moment he was hungry for names, now I think he already is a bigger Name than Ward and he is trying to get more money and to make history in MW.

So to answer your question, yes he would. is about business right now.

So he'll move up to catch a one sided ass whooping for his biggest payday but he won't lose weight to fight a former welterweight for an actual biggest payday and not a thread title hypothetical payday. Makes a lot of sense.

Gig was the mandatory meaning the champ is going to be fighting ggg next at 160 70,30 split etc. That is already more than ggg deserve and they know it. So they can sit happy refusing to negotiate because when it goes to purse bid, they will be fighting at the traditional weight and getting more money than they deserve anyways.

I say he ducked because if he was going to fight him, he should've done it now. If he wants to fight him down the line then he comes at a lower position so the split would be the same as now. He would come as not even a mandatory and no belt wanting to fight the 160 champ with 2 belts maybe even undisputed. What kind of split would be deserve then?
