Comments Thread For: Ward-Kovalev: Release Of NBA Schedule Could Clarify Venue

The official release of the NBA's 2016-17 regular-season schedule late Thursday afternoon could help expedite the announcement of Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena as the site of the highly anticipated November 19 pay-per-view main event between Sergey Kovalev and Andre Ward.

That contract could possibly be void as that guy from Roc Sports is no longer there ...

I would love for this fight to come to the Barclays or MSG. It'll mean I can easily attend live!

Jay Z alone can offer this fight a big promotion here. All he has to do is offer a prefight performance.

... So Jay Z would like to bring this fight in New York?

... Doesn he know what he's doing? I.E. related to the possible attendance rate of those Russians from NY City or from Canada?... Well...

NY would be a better place to hold this fight for sure. It may cost more there tho. But for fans and for media, it'd definitely be better.

The fighters would have to pay more taxes, so I don't see why they would sign off on that. The fight taking place at T-Mobile would likely benefit both, particularly Ward's west coast fan base.

Duva always seems to be involved in some sort of non contractual agreement.

If there's no contract signed for the T-Mobile arena then what's the problem. Take this fight to NYC. It'll do better there, plus it'll take place on neutral ground.

kkkovalev has no fan base! His last fight in vegas had 3000 people with probably a 1000 tickets given away at the MGM for free! Oakland or new york will sell the stadium out!
