He has an American promoter, the trainer is American and he lives in America stop trying to make something out of nothing.
The best officials are from the States, did you watch the Monte Carlo ref the other night? Do you want him?

      Disgraceful. Just disgraceful

crooked muricans are gonna do everything in their power to ROB Kovalev

****ing referee will probably allow Ward to headbutt to his heart content, like they did in the Kessler fight

      i'm a bit worried now

I'm going to wait for these so called boxing 'fans' on how Ward schooled Kovalev with cuts caused by headbutts and 80+ clinches initiated by Ward during the Kessler fight. It's just laughable how they brushed this off as a "No Excuse" category because they knew now that the foreign fighter will have a very large disadvantage against the American fighter for being supported by the american officials.

They should definitely have had a Russian ref.

History lesson, because it's apparently needed...
American judges Metcalfe and Stewart scored Ward vs Froch 115-113 in what should have been a lopsided victory for Ward. British judge Keane called it 118-110 for Ward.

While you are absolutely right in that you shouldn't have all judges and a ref from the same country as one of the fighters, I personally don't think it will make too much of an impact on the fight. The ref is highly experienced and doesn't have too many headscratchers, and the judges are respectable.

But yeah, I would have liked to see an American, South American and a European judge to prevent any accusations of unfair treatment.

Lop sided? Froch fought back in the mid to late rounds but was indeed to late, it was an exciting and competitive match up where a lot of rounds Ward edged it out, I scored it a 116-112 for Ward, so though 115-113 is a bit off, you can indeed make a case for it to why it can be scored like that.

This is one instances out of a hundred others, your history is faded. How about TB vs Pacquiao? And many other fights where foreign fighters were robbed because of American Judges.

Way Kovalev is going to knock him out right? So Ref an Judges shouldn't matter based on some fans logic

All this **** comes to a END Saturday and we will find out who is the best!

                    Doesnt Kovalev live in florida?

Ward is about as popular as dog chit. I dont think any of the judges are secretly Ward super fans.

                    It will be fine

Go look up some media reviews from that fight.
"Carl Froch outclassed by dazzling Andre Ward" -BBC

Another British publication, the Telegraph, gave it 117-112 for Ward.

Yet another UK publication, the Guardian, said, "Andre Ward is beyond argument the best super-middleweight in the world – so good, in fact, that he beat Carl Froch into a distant second place with virtually one hand, as well as defying the bizarre judgement of two of the judges."

                      Truth is a bytch, eh?

Ward is not a darling for American judges. Don't try to distract from my point by bringing up Pacquiao. I gave a specific instance in which Ward was treated unfavorably by US judges in a fight against a high profile European.
Don't read more into it than what I said.
