    My top 5:

    Roman Gonzalez
Sergei Kovalev (hey its my list and i had him scraping a win so...)
    Andre Ward
    Terrence Crawford
Vasyl Lomachenko (more on talent than depth of resume for now at least)

Crawford definitely has a better resume than GGG. Canelo is arguable, but Crawford beat his best opponents more clearly than Alvarez did so that seperates him imo.

i get why roman is so high - impressive body of work across 4 divisions, cuadras did have the physical advantages

but why isnt cuadras even in the top 10?

        they have estrada there

so i guess my question is whats the balance between current skill level and resume.

i always thought p4p list was a list that ranks current skill level

It's kinda obvious that pushing Ward and Kovalev into that 2nd and 3rd spot is nothing more than politics in boxing, the sport trying to make Ward and Kovalev very relevant the PPV fight last weekend likely flopped because it had the previous weeks competition with a super stacked UFC card.

Either way it's pretty obvious that GGG and Gonzalez both belong ahead of Kovalev and Ward neither of those two fighters are of that talent level we can now say that knowing that Ward was badly exposed and outboxed for 8 to 9 rounds, It's going to upset some of the people on here when GGG carries on getting more plaudits than Ward for robbing Kovalev of a win.

Rubbish, GGG resume literally shiets all over Crawfords plus Crawford was getting took to school by a midget before that inevitable massive weight advantage took course.

The P4P list is where boxing hipsterdom really shines.
I dont think Estrada's resume is that much worse than GGG's tbh and the vast majority have GGG way higher on P4P lists.

Way overstated on here tbh. Smaller fighters often do well early before succumbing later on to the bigger fighter. Not uncommon at all. They have the advantage in speed and mobility and that counts for a lot early. See Brook vs GGG or Khan vs Canelo for example.

                  Top wins for both guys:

                  Crawford: Postol, Beltran, Burns

                  GGG: Lemiuex

                  Decent wins:

                  Crawford: Gamboa, Dulorme, Jean, Lundy.

GGG: Murray, Macklin, Ishida, Geale, Brook.

I was pretty generous with a lot of those decent wins for both guys, but the edge in top wins clearly goes to Crawford.

There is no justification for having Golovkin on the list, but not having Rigo, and I say that as someone with no time for the latter at all.
