Anyone with even an ounce of boxing sense knew how big a mismatch this was, I personally predicted a stoppage but that guy took a sustained beating. Not only did his corner allow it, the ref did too. It's a joke.
Hmm maybe a tad harsh of Gutknecht, I didn't think he'd win but this isn't quite as bad as the likes of Berto Vs. Floyd, Garcia Vs, Ron Salad, BJS Vs. Akavov and all the rest but I do like your idea I'd be down for that.
I'm for anything that increases the likelihood of more competitive fights.

Gut is a very, very bad professional fighter and even if I have to be nice to his reputation as a fighter, he was/is nowhere near Groves league who is world class. On top of all that, Groves could punch and that's the real issue here.

I agree with the other mismatches you listed, there should be straight suspensions of promotional licenses for any promoter who tries to repeatedly push through fights of this caliber.

Referees should be clued into what's happening and they should have known about the skill and talent gap between the two men in the ring that night.
          Where did I suggest that Groves-Gutknecht wasn't a mismatch?

Or the regulatory bodies can just not sanction it in the first place.

Agree with those expressing concern over Ortiz-Allen - that is some highly irresponsible matchmaking

Also, the regulatory bodies are in it for themselves, even calling them regulatory bodies is a joke. That's why I call for an independent watchdog to deny or accept fight proposals.
