not a fan of this kind of rhetoric. ward's body work late had a very demonstrative effect on kovalev. he slaps like a woman, and those slaps won him rounds? slowed you down? not a good look.



kovalev's not a pleasant guy from what i can gather. not a fan of HBO playing to and exaggerating that angle when covering his fights, but he does come off as a cold and vinditive dude at times. he even said he wanted to keep pascal standing so he could beat him up. it's that kind of a beating that can end a fighter's career or worse. and kovalev knows this. he killed a fighter named simakov in a boxing match in the early 2010's.

Don't think there is going to be a KO but I do think Ward will do much better in this one. He seemed to figure Kov out in the second half of the first fight and showed a lot of confidence.
I don't see Kov getting off to as good of a start or catching Ward to get a knockdown like he did in the first fight.
I see Ward winning a wide decision here.
