Thurman can outbox Spence, but Keith doesn't like it to the body so I could see him wilting down the stretch.

Crawford might be the only guy who has the right combination to beat Errol outright. But as you say we have to see how he looks at 147 first.

He is slightly awkward in there but very resilient. That body attack would put Thurman on his bicycle and we don't know if Crawford can take that kind of power at 147, he is still untested. The plot thickens at 147.

I think I agree. No one at 147 right now is good enough, not even One Time.

He showed a clear weakness on the backfoot. Brook won his clearest rounds and for the most part neutralized spence coming forward, and spence when he got the chance to come forward was when he was doing his damage, it was 50/50 in that regard and the fight was there for the man with the better gameplan.

Spence was landing bodyshots from the get-go though.

Spence is not the finished article by any means. He'll get even better.

i'd hold off on the "spence can be outboxed" claims for a bit

first he had a 9 month layoff...was fighting in the UK in a soccer venue with rabid UK fans....was fighting a top level guy....a guy that was a bit awkward ......

remember...spence gave himself about a b- grade.......i think spence can box....but in a case like this he needed that other stuff to bail him out.....brook isnt an easy guy to figure out..he does some unorthodox stuff in there ....but it didnt give spence all that much trouble

Yep. I thought the same post AJ vs Wlad. The prospect looked very raw still, but 12 rounds is a long time to stay away from them. If you cant stay away then you better know what you are doing inside, or be tough as nails, otherwise you are getting stopped.

Excellent performance from an excellent fighter. Hope Thurman can recover quickly and we see this before the end of this stunning year of boxing

He isn't exactly air tight defensively, and Brook was having success with his boxing at times.
But yeah, you'd maybe need to be a good boxer like Brook is, as well as being able to nullify or at least match Spence when he takes it to you.

I feel a fighter is going to need a good inside game against Spence.

I think ring rust was a factor in this fight. He rated himself a B after the fight and said the time off was a factor
