Anthony Joshua Offered Fight On McGregor vs Mayweather Card By UFC Heavyweight Champ

UFC’s top heavyweight Stipe Miocic has offered the Olympic golden boy a ticket to the biggest show on earth on the Maywaether/McGregor undercard.

Miocic said: “Me against Joshua would be a great fight.

“I think I’d surprise a lot of people, I think it’d be an amazing fight – let’s do it! He’s a great guy. He’s tough, he’s a champion for a reason. I think I’d give him a run for his money.”

“If the guys offer me the chance to fight Anthony Joshua – and they offer me a lot of money – then of course I am going to fight him. Boxing is a different sport but those guys are asking because there could be a lot of money in it, that’s all.

“I have watched Joshua, he is incredible. But in boxing there is always a chance, I will never say there is no chance. If I take the fight I am going to take that chance. If I hit him in the right spot then I know he is going to go down. I know I have the power to knock out anyone.

"To be honest the guy is an amazing boxer. I think right now Joshua is the No1 heavyweight in the world. I don’t think he is one of the best in the era but at this time I think he can beat anyone in the heavyweight boxing division.”

EDIT: ANTHONY JOSHUA RESPONDS TO STIPE MIOCIC

how can this fight happen if he's not ranked by the IBF or WBA, and with the IBF he can fight Pulev or Wlad next, why not get Pulev out of the way on Floyd's undercard and fight Wlad in December

You think Mayweather is going to give Joshua a percentage of the U.S PPV? or let a HW contest out-shine him on his own card?

I don't think he will and I don't expect him either, but Joshua has a contract with Sky and he'll get his money through UK PPV, and in the future he'll be a name in the states as well, possibly 3M PPV sells which will have an audience of roughly 40M people in the states, that's a chance Hearn shouldn't let go

It seems you are already counting out Klitschko and Pulev, they both have a very good shot at derailing all those plans.

Of course it won't happen for many reasons but it wouldn't actually be a bad way to get Joshua's name out the USA audience, or worldwide in general. It's not like there's really any other heavyweights out there that are going to get him those viewing figures and not many fights out there at heavyweight that will even cause a bit of a buzz.

This is indeed slowly turning into a circus act.

Joshua isn't gonna fight Miocic lmao, he's got big fights out there & wont get as much money for it. The only reason would be for US exposure but is that how he wants to get known to the US audience? I doubt it
