In his first fight with Stirvirne he pitched a shutout with a master class performance. There are few times where a boxer puts up a near perfect performance and Wilder certainly did that in that fight. Skill, technique, ring generalship, and fundamentals were all displayed at an extremely high level.

He never put up a performance like that again but there are those who believe that he can do it again should he find himself in against another dangerous opponent.

We just haven't had a chance to see it yet because Povetkin and Ortiz took that opportunity from us. Those fights would have told us if it was a one time thing with Stirvirne or if he can consistently step it up against dangerous opposition.

    Anyway we'll find out eventually.
I think stiverne was a favorable matchup to him. Short pudgy heavyweight with short reach who likes to sit back and counter punch himself. It was pretty easy for wilder to just jab him at range to to his sheer size advantage alone.

For everyone to see what hes really about he needs to face someone elite and that hasnt happened yet.

Fire for Fire....AJ will meet Wilder sooner than he is anticipating. Its a matter of time.

Wilder is scared to death. If he would be serious about fighting Joshua, he would fight Whyte next to build his name in UK. Nobody outside Alabama knows who he is.

Joshua just fought Wlad... anyone saying ducking etc. is just ****ing ******ed.

Wilder should be trying to fight UK opponents to get his name up there for the Joshua fight.

And you've seen him do this BEFORE round 4? Lately? He's clueless for the 1st three rounds. Can't even do simple boxing 101 stuff. And by then, Joshua will have dropped him hard at least once. Will he get up? Maybe. Will he still be able to function well? Doubtful.

Really, I can't figure out why Wilder fans do NOT see this defect in Wilder. SMDH

Am i making this **** up for do I have to pull up youtube videos, the proof is there its not an opinion its a fact. I know people like to rip on Wilder on being the human windmill and fighting bums but he shows he knows how to box in the Stiverne fight. If you can get away with being a human windmill in your fights why not? He'd take the AJ fight more siriusly b/c AJ is a threat. Box and move Wilder is 10x more atheltic. Too Slick Too Skilled Too Black.
Friend, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there IS a reason you have zero rep power.

Tell me whats so impressive about brawlers. I don't get brawler hype. All brawler belong in the bum squad. The guy was getting outboxed by Wlad before the KO. Difference between Wilder and Wlad is that Wilder wont be there to get hit. Only thing AJ will have in his career is a punchers chance nothing else. Shrink him down he doesn't win his fights.
