Good info - with a source too, nice.

Currently 1.1million pounds equals $2.1million in NZD, so it was still a very healthy payday for Parker indeed.

Shame the fight was a dud though.

Hennessy whatever he made over youtube and whether he got anywhere near to braking even after paying Parker three weeks early before he travelled I doubt but Parker got paid. Now you begin to understand why Hennessy was so pissed off after Furry lost, like Hearn when he paid Martin for his belt and Joshua his fee it's very likely he potentially made a loss yet now makes his profits, Hennessy hasn't a belt with Furry and nothing to offset his losses against with future title fights.

Don't multi quote me again, we're done.

Name one boxer who has ever looked good versus a Peter Furry trained boxer ?

Exactly, and Parker dominated too. Joey is coming along just nicely, his last four fights being 12 rounders and he's added fitness levels to the point he's ironed his mid round lapses. Fury was a difficult opponent, expect him credited nothing in this forum, real boxing fans recognise his endeavours.

This is pretty much on point except if the fight had originally taken place Parker had agreed due to his long standing relationship with Duco to take a massive pay cut (not broadcast to the media) in order to help out what was shaping up as a disastrous promotion for Duco. In short they had bid too high in order to secure home advantage for Parker and interest in the fight in NZ, even with the Fury surname attached to it, was very very soft.

In fact there were even some rumblings within the camp that Higgins may have been in on the Fury's pulling out as it basically got Duco out of a super tight spot financially speaking, as Horn/Pacquiao hadn't generated the PPV in Australia they were hoping for either. That I must stress was only a rumour within the camp, but it was discussed.

Moving it to England was much better for Parker and Duco in that Hennessey assumed the risk and they were guaranteed their slice of the pie regardless of how many tickets were sold, the YouTube deal etc.

PPV in NZ was sluggish as well.

This whole promotion, from start to finish was a balls-up.
