Matchroom for all the success and hype weren't able to or didn't.. don't think they ever tabled a 50 mil fight offer. Suddenly wilder turned the tables

Now matchroom announce a billion dollar deal....and swing attention away from wilder & aj being made
Yes, but the guarantee was made to Joshua, not Wilder. So it's easy to see whose name is really making that kind of money a reality.

Swing attention away from Wilder/Joshua? You do know there is more to matchroom than Joshua don't you? What you're saying is nothing short of preposterous. The people who have gone into business with Hearn on this venture haven't done so on the basis of Joshua and Hearn ducking Wilder and this is used as a smokescreen. That's crazy. But considering this site is full of nutters, it's not a surprise you're coming out with this nonsense because this site is just full of weirdos like yourself.

With just under $8m to spend on each show, you have to expect that DAZN's boxing product will rapidly eclipse HBO's and then I guess most people who pay for HBO specifically for its boxing content will simply switch over rather than maintain both subscriptions. I think this deal could spell the end of HBO's involvement in boxing, as they are clearly the most vulnerable competitor right now. Hearn being the architect may feel like a bit of a knife in the back considering they were the ones to bring him over to America in the first place
They also have the advantage of being able to get new subscribers from different countries paying for it. Hypothetically it could bomb in America and get a ton of new subscribers in other countries to make the profit. That's one of the significant advantages that they have with streaming the event. They can distribute it to Canada, Japan, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

I think you need to read Hearn quotes, he's already said Joshua is the sell in his stable.
As for your insults, you've some tough fingers pal

Joshua is the biggest name in his stable, I won't dispute that. But Joshua isn't the only fighter that Matchroom have. Matchroom don't cease to exist if Joshua retires tomorrow.

Watch how quickly they'd fold with Joshua gone

Khan vs soft touch x 3
Brook vs soft touch x 3
He'll then cash brook out with khan or Spence rematch
              Who's left?
              Jacobs?
Bellew? He's got 2 fights in him tops..and that's only if he beats the 1st guy
              Crolla? 1 fight max
Conor Benn? Could come unstuck anytime
Josh Kelly.. same there, he's the biggest hope out the bunch but his over confidence is a disaster waiting to happen like hamed

Rest wouldn't raise an eyebrow in the states

Hearn is all about the casual...so it's all about aj

I recently watched a joint interview with Hearns and DeGale at the Haye/Bellew fight and DeGale was talking about how he wants to fight on a big UK show again, and how him and Hearn would enjoy working together again.

With it looking like Smith/Groves may be off, a DeGale/Groves unification fight down the line on SKY and DAZN would be a good one.
