There is a disconnect between boxing media/ggg fans & reality
Canelo sold a million PPVs with Chavez Jr and 1.3 million with GGG.

With Liam Smith, he sold 300k.

And that was before he tested positive for PEDs, and it was a world title fight.

Here's something to consider .. how many PPVs would GGG have sold with Chavez Jr, on the same date Canelo fought him?

I'm guessing it would be a lot closer to 1million than to 170k, Golovkin's last number vs Jacobs.

      Canelo is in a box.

Don't fight Ggg = no biggest payday, accused of ducking

Fight Jacobs, Charlo = real chance of losing and for less money than fighting GGG

Fight Spike or Lem = nobody cares. Fight looks like ducking Ggg and no money.

The crazy thing is that if C is to lose to anyone GGG is the best to lose to. Less damage to his reputation than if loses to Jacobs or Charlo.

      I think the fight goes on. It's C's best play. It's just about the %. I'm guessing 55 45

        I agree
Jacobs is a bad matchup. I VERY much doubt that ever happens. It's just talk

GGG's management needs to get more realistic. Greedy fkers.
          ... of course...

"GGG Promoter: Canelo Needs The Rematch To Save His Image!"

... WTF is he saying?... Canelo already tarnished his "image" when he gave up the WBC belt, when he pulled out from the rematch... Canelo doesn't give a fuck about his "image"...

Agree. That’s exactly the point. A six month suspension is yet another gift that Canelo was handed to him. There has to be some consequence to cheating. If he wants to ingratiate himself with fans again he should agree to Golovkin’s terms and prove that he can fight without Peds.

Canelo should offer 80-20 split. Take it or leave it.

Didn't Oscar already said they're moving on? so why is lil g STILL BEGGING? lol

and after cherry picking a retired JMW with two years of inactivity Loeffler is in no place to trash any future Canelo opponent. Even if its Spike.

lil g gonna make all those accusations and commercials then come to the table and ask for "fairness" gtfoh.

                He dont even deserve 35%.

but I thought lil g wasn't a businessman. all this time we were lied to.

Loeffler sounds desperate - he realises that he miscalculated and that Canelo don't need Golovkin. The difference between need and desirable on display.

Canelo doesn't have any bargaining chips to bargain with. I think Golden Boy promotions are looking for a way out of the fight. Oscar has brought up Spike O’Sullivan as one of the possibilities for Canelo to fight on September 15, and he’s the one that a lot of hardcore boxing fans believe he’ll fight.
He's entitled to ask whatever he wants including 50/50 split.
But he's not entitled to receive it from GBP. They don't need to play fair (subjective) and this is a business transaction. Try asking a tank full of piranhas to play fair. Same deal.

GGG demands for a better split are not unreasonable, in fact this should be 60/40 split in his favor. Clenelo's career is headed for the dumpster, the fans are onto his game and won't accept his cherry picking at 160. Adios muchachos, Golden Boy may as well sell off the office furniture and go home. Their golden goose is cooked, stick a fork in him. How can any real boxing fan support Golden boy's policy? Have you been a little down lately?
