Eddie Hearn: will sue WBC if Wilder-Fury 2 happens

Multiple youtube channels reporting that Eddie Hearn threatens to sue WBC (and Wilder) if they allow Wilder-Fury 2 to happen. Eddie wants the fight to be with Dillian Whyte.

Don't understand how that will work. Wilder just made a mandatory so he doesn't need to do it again for some time. Also, Fury was mandated ahead of Whyte by WBC for the rematch, so won't Wilder-Fury be mandatory anyway?

Whyte ain't getting any mandatory until he fights eliminators and won't get voluntary as long as he is with Eddie Hearn.

Hearn claims that the WBC have agreed to make the Whyte/Rivas winner for interim and mandatory status.

Therefore, if he sees that Wilder has been signed up to a trilogy with Fury, he will take legal action.

In that case, Breazeale, Ortiz and Fury will all have pulled out of final eliminators against Whyte and got the WBC shot ahead of him. That's just wrong.

Hearn seems to think Wilder has to fight Whyte before Fury and that's not going to happen. Wilder fulfilled his mandatory obligations against Breazeale. His next mandatory will not be called before 12 months of that fight at the earliest. If Wilder beats Ortiz and Fury handles his business, the fight should happen around March-April of 2020. So Hearn really has no case here. Now, for the trilogy fight? That is different and the winner will likely have to face Whyte before they fight their third fight.

They had asked Fury-Whyte to be that fight. However, Wilder vs Fury was already mandated...Fury just halted the fight to take a break and asked WBC for the fight to take place at a later date. So, if Fury goes ahead it will be sanctioned as mandatory.

Even if Whyte was mandatory, which he is not, Wilder doesn't have to fight mandatory for next 12-18 months because he just did. Also, Fury being Lineal champ will become a unification fight and take precedence over Wilder-Whyte even if that was mandated. Don't see any legal grounds for Hearn to hold his ground.

He says a trilogy, not their next fight

Dillian Whyte must loathe the WBC

They really have royally fucked him over.
