Was beating Fielding an achievement? There are dozens of fighters in the top 10 cruisers of the various organizations, and canelo could probably beat a bunch of them right this second. If any of the ones he can beat happened to snatch a title of any sort, that would put them in the “ Rocky Fielding” column and a possible opponent for the ginger man

GGG, Charlo, and Jacobs haven't beaten ANY SMW and they're often compared to Canelo.

Canelo moving up to SMW and stopping a once beaten Top 10 SMW fighter is impressive mostly because of how badly Canelo BATTERED that boy

If, and it's a big if, he beats Kovalev, then he may as well fight the even more powerful Beterbiev and the very slick Bivol. I don't think he can beat both of them. I'm not sure he beats the other middleweights either but okay, Canelo is now into taking moderate risks, but not the biggest risks.
