Anyone else feel this weight loss is going to negatively impact Ortiz against Wilder?

I really would love to see Ortiz fight Joshua or Ruiz to see where they're at
Id say Ortiz has a 20-30 percent chance of an upset. The chances arent great, but theyre there. In the heavies, one big shot lands and it can change the course of a fight...or end it.

The fact is that hes looking old and has been unable to go through the gears in his last few fights. He looked tired and one paced. So maybe he feels itll give him ability to go through the gears a bit more.

To me it sounds like hes making a drastic change because hes facing a man that knocked him out before, so he feels he cant go in the same. Changing too much sometimes indicates some self doubt.

Has he actually even lost that much weight or in different shape?
      Good point

If he didn't drain himself to lose the weight, he may be better off. More speed, agility & stamina may be benefits of Luis losing the weight carefully.

I dunno, maybe it's just me.. we will see
I think Ortiz could weigh anywhere from 202-402 and get KTFO regardless.

I agree that he has such skills and professionalism that the weight will not bother him

I also marked that he actually even lost that much weight or in different shapes. It's the truth that losing weight carefully influences on more speed, agility, and stamina that surely benefits. But, frankly speaking, that he has such skills and professionalism that the weight will not bother him. I had a friend, he is a boxing trainer we met in training on and he has the excess weight but he is really invincible. So, I think that the psychological pressure of the thoughts that you have lost to this person's ones also influence the results. Anyway, the work they do is really hard and it is always easier to discuss from the side.
