Rick Glaser: Wilder will never be PPV star

Very interesting interview by the legendary matchmaker and PPV analyst.

He also says PPV is dead and won't come back.

    Start at 30mins.

They've tried their best to make him one but people just aren't interested. His big fans like Larry and MCC are paupers that steal the neighbours internet to watch a fight so can't afford PPV.

Well its hard to be a PPV star when all his fights keep Bombsquading.

I agree ppv is dying but I heard from several people that are now into boxing because his knockouts. Much like when Tyson was fighting. All his fights end with a highlight real type knockout. He also has been very consistent. People that normally didn't watch boxing are discussing his fights the next day.

Kinda odd to say he'll never be a PPV star then go on to say PPV is dying and irrelevant. So what does it even matter if he wont be a PPV star if there wont be anymore PPV stars anyway?

PPV been dying almost as long as PBC been dying.

Mfers in boxing are too invested in and damn near rooting on failure for some reason.

                    Nobody's rooting for failure.

Everybody is rooting for good, competitive fights. If you couple that with fighters that that the public can relate too then boxing will flourish whether that is PPV or a subscription service.

Nobody cares about Wilder because he's a fake gangsta who talks about killing people whilst knocking out old men and never has beens whilst ducking the best competition available. That's the truth of it.
