Remember when Eddy wanted to be funny and asked people who wilder is and then made fun of him.
Well the jokes on him now...Wilder is the most talked about HW at the moment. You will not hear aj or fury without the name Wilder mentioned as well. It is not a coincidence that Aj seems to be making more and more media appearances and try and come across as the baddest guy out there.
He has figured it out...when it comes to the HW...you better talk ****.. better look scary..better start giving zero fcuks because that is how we want our HW to be. Nobody ever talk about Iron Mike loosing to Holyfield or Lennox but we all admire him for being one bad M****er. T
Wilder is very very good for the HW division because at the end of the day...people want to see someone get KO. Especially in the HW division.
Ps. Fury also very good for the HW.if we want to see some brotherly love we will tune in to the Bantamweights.

I don't need to prove my intellect to a flat-skull. Sad thing is beyond looking and behaving online like a caveman you've all the courage of a mouse.
You've balls like a child: small and inoffensive.

So when exactly was this unification supposed to take place? Klitschko was committed to another fight and committed to another network, so Finkel was honest that they weren't going to try to rush the fight, Wilder was still learning, and they'd quickly schedule a couple defenses before pursuing unification.
Klitschko vs. Wilder was always the plan for 2016. The only reason the fight didn't happen is because Klitschko lost.

A draw can be argued for, but requires giving Wilder every benefit of the doubt

I don't think many here other than myself thought five years ago that he'd still be the champion in 2020. I don't think many here other than myself thought he'd reach #1 in the Boxrec ratings, destroying all arguments that he wasn't facing top fighters.
But next month is the moment of truth. I have no issue with praise being withheld until then. Assuming we don't have another draw, we'll finally have an undisputed lineal champion. No more arguing about whether Fury retired or anything like that. And more importantly, Klitschko vs Chagaev wasn't even #1 vs #2, so we'll actually have our first real lineal champion in a very long time.

I asked for examples of how many had Wilder winning, and of what proportion. You went out of your way to include the notion of people seeing a Wilder victory, not just a draw, so justify it

Not sure about your claim to the recognised lineage. If you didn’t recognise Wlad/Chagaev, fine, but all doubt was erased with Wlad/Povetkin. There are very few, if any, who would claim Wlad was not the lineal champion somewhere within his reign

Is this why he is so hated? Nobody expected him to come this far, so everybody feels ****** for assuming he would fail?
Sure the trolls will cry and say he's protected or hasn't fought top fighters, but Boxrec proves that's complete bull****. Until recently, he was #1 in the world in the computerized rankings and even now he is #2. Which would be literally impossible if he'd been protected and hadn't fought top fighters. The Boxrec computers don't care about belts or hype. They just analyze the results of every fight on the planet and assign points based on your level of competition.
If Wilder knocks out Fury and becomes the lineal heavyweight champion of the world, what will the haters say then?
Last I checked boxings only record setting 4 belt champ is boxrec #1, but of course Gooners still gonna goon...only in boxing!!!

Regardless how you feel about Wilder he should be respected for the fact that right now no other fighter has held a strap longer then and in the history of the sport only 9 HW have had longer continuous reigns then Wilder and they’re all legends , that’s impressive
I know some will cry and try to dismiss this and say he’s fought nobodies and it’s a weak era so what’s the big deal , I think AJ getting the beat down by Ruiz proves that at HW its the thinnest line between Winning and losing , guys who should be easy work and aren’t considered on the same level ( Douglas , Sanders, Rahman ,McCall ) are capable and may very well be the guy who takes the crown off the King.
5 years and Wilder has had that b.itch by his side the entire time isn’t something that’s easily done
