I think it might be too late! He's 29 and his defense was wack for 24 fights! I can't seen him changing now. He should've went to see Calvin Ford in his own backyard! Salute to Lorenzo "Truck" Simpson! Let's Work!

He took it for the first fight? So why would he not do it again?

Even though this is basically common sense and I can understand where he's coming from. At the same time I can't help but feel it makes him look a bit like a clown not wanting any real challenges.

And also.... Once you used to fighting a certain way, changing my make you less effective since thats not your natural style.... He might get hit more ya know.

But he could use some better defense, cuz the way he fights gonna do damage long term.

Especially when he start fighting guys as big as him... His style is suited vs smaller guys imo

I understand wanting to have a bounce back fight after the loss and lay off.... but this mismatch is not going to help your brand, Mr. Hurd.

So basically you get your wish. This will be all you.

He starting to think like a well-tuned PBC machine.

Fights are about demolishing your overmatched opponent in order to increase your value - whether that's fan hatred or adoration in all translates into capital, and that's all Mr Haymon cares about.

Why did most fans tune in to watch Anthony Mundine, Floyd Mayweather and Deontay Wilder? To see them humiliated and knocked off their pedestal.

Becoming a villain in boxing can be more lucrative than a fan favourite.

Hatred inspires more compulsive, emotional driven behaviour than admiration, pride and kudos.

Just look at this generations most maligned fighter's earnings and you'll see.

Haymon doesn't give a **** a^*e whether his commodity sits on a belt and fights bums while regurgitating the script he's being ducked and want's the big boys of the division - because it engenders and promotes resentment, outrage and bitterness - and Haymon knows how to turn those emotions into capital.

without doubt the most cynical, self-centred, amoral, solipsistic, sociopath the boxing world has ever witnessed in a promoter.
