If those boys ever do fight again they need to give their dad 50% of their paycheck because if it wasn't for his name they wouldn't have a career.

I think they demanded too much of him, they forced him to stay at the lower weights too long and so he had to starve himself to make that happen so he ended up having a bad habits of eating and when you have to starve yourself to make weight one bad weekend can ruin your entire camp. So after the martinez fight where he obviously starved himself to make the weight he just stop giving a **** about the entire process. Had they allowed him to move to 168lb earlier and eat a more comfortable livestyle he would probably still have enough fortitute to stick to a diet etc. Chavez is someone who needs about 3500 calories a day and they had him on a 1000 calories a day diet for weeks, motherucker was starving from the moment he woke up till he went to sleep.

As a father, you just don't do that. They already understood very clearly that they could never meet up to his standard or move out of his shadow, so what good does this do for them or their relationship? Children yearn for the approval of their parents and I don't think these two ever got it. JCC Sr. will hopefully learn one day (probably not) that his relationship with his boys was always worth more than their individual success in the ring.
I disagree. They've embarrassed him publicly for years. He told them to not go into this field of work and they disobeyed him and dishonored his name. He's got every right to call their spoiled asses out.

At the start he was coming along well until that fatal bout. He took along time off if I remember right. I would imagine it takes something from you.

Ok, but what's the point in calling them out in public? He treats them like little boys and wonders why they haven't become men that he can respect. I think you may change your mind about Sr's behavior after you have your own kids.

Junior had great talent. I remember when Nike endorsed him. He sold 475k PPV against Martinez. So long ago.
