Comments Thread For: Arum: Take it To The Bank - There Will Be No Joshua After June 20!

Bob Arum is just as eager as everyone else in the industry to see a truly undisputed heavyweight champion. The Hall of Fame promoter struggles to understand, however, just how Anthony Joshua will have anything to do with that conversation after his next fight. "Take it to the bank. There won't be an Anthony Joshua after June 20," Arum insisted during a recent segment of The Ariel Helwani Show on ESPN.

Wonder what tale Unkee Bob will cough up if his guy gets waxed in short order by Joshua? Which is the likely scenario anyway. Anthony may do a somewhat boring safety-first boxing lesson vs Pulev for the UD... but I have noticed Pulev isn't consistent for 12 rounds. Gives his opponent all kinds of holes in his defense along with an inconsistent offense. IMO Joshua has likely figured out how easy Pulev's gameplan will be to unravel. I could be wrong in my preview (I usually am LOL), but in any event, it should be an interesting fight while it lasts.

Wow! Bob is really selling Anthony Joshua short. He sincerely believes that AJ is a broken/ruined fighter. He said he fights like a scared fighter. If true, then Andy Ruiz must have really done a number on him after all.

Personally, I didn't believe that Joshua is broken fighter but a scarred one like: John Ruiz was after the David Tua fight and Wladimir Klitschko after the Lamon Brewster fight.

Those two were never the same fighters again. Both of their styles changed dramatically afterwards.

Joshua is overrated, but Pulev is not going to beat him. Pulev is way too robotic just like Joshua and lacks power.

I think Bob is just in love with the possibility of his guys having all the belts and then offering the likes of Joshua, Wilder, Usyk 20% to get a look in after that.
