You know nothing about women's boxing.

Braekhus has beaten 17 other world champs from 126 all the way to 160. She has more wins over world champs than Taylor has total fights.

She has been undisputed at welterweight since Taylor and Shields were amateurs.

She has been a 2 belt champ since Shields was in grade school.

She has 25 straight title defenses.

She has never lost more than 3 rounds in any fight.

Holly Holm ran to a different weight class and then a different sport the two times the WBC ordered her to fight Braekhus.

There's a reason all these fighters move up and down to every weight class but 147. They all know they can't touch Braekhus.

She has beaten arguably the biggest puncher in women's boxing history in Mathis. Twice. McCaskill has no chance and neither would Taylor, Serrano, or Persoon.
Lmaooo I give you credit, you
Must be fking Braekhus to give her that much credit and confidence!

But lets be frank, most of those girls won’t be touching the HOF (maybe I’m wrong since a fictional character is in the hall of fame) and the competition of women’s boxing today is better than ever!

Braekhus has made everyone move into her division while she comfortably waited and when the next best fighter shows up in CLARESSA SHIELDS, she comes with excuses of not being able to move up even 1 division or even a catch weight!

She’s an opportunist, she won’t be able to hold a candle to Shields when it’s all said and done!

She gets rocked dropped by weight drained opponents and you think one of the hardest hitting fighters in women’s boxing who won’t be weight drained in Jessica McCaskill won’t do anything?

Lol don’t be surprised if Braekhus gets rocked out her boots again!

She’s skilled but very open, only problem is she’s one of the few women’s boxer who’s a full time fighter while most of her opponents were part time daycare workers or yoga instructors!

There’s a reason why she’s willing to fight weight drained opponents and smaller opponents all the time but not even a weight drained Shields cuz she knows her limits even when someone like you don’t!

Taylor will win by late stoppage ,really the only reason many thinks she lost last time because in most heads the favorite to win isnt supposed to have some sort of difficulty and when it happens they are wowed by it but Taylor out boxed her and this time I see a late stoppage .

I thought Katie won a close one against a superwelter Persoon (she looked huge compared to Taylor) the first time. I expect her to beat Persoon easier this time.

You're truly ignorant. She won't change weights because she has the most title defenses of any fighter in any division of either gender. She doesn't cherry pick vacant belts against overmatched opponents. She's been defending the same belts for over a decade; if anyone wanted the smoke, they knew where to find her.

And yes, many of her opponents are easily HOFers. Mathis, Lamare, Hallback, and St John are all probably top 20 P4P women in history.

If Shields is so great she should meet the real champ in her division. Not fight for vacant belts against Habazin, who Braekhus beat 10-0 with a knockdown several years ago.

Persoon actually weighed in at 130, nearly 5lbs lighter than Taylor. In fact she's weighted between 127 and 131 in her last 4. Maybe one of those people just looks big for her weight like Froch.

All these stats means nothing but you are right the original poster and probably the rest of the forums know nothing about women's boxing, because it's crap and devoid of talent.

There's more belts and weight classes than there are good fighters.

The names on her resume matter. There is no female fighter in history whose resume stacks up to Cecilia's.

And yes, there are too many belts and divisions. So what does it say about the opponents that others are facing that they couldn't even win a belt? Serrano has half as many champs on her resume with 2 more fights.

The kettle calling the pot hot! Lol

These are the facts, Shields would concede to 154 or a catch weight of 152 but Braekhus went quiet and disappeared and started being a cheerleader for the retired Laila Ali in her feud with Shields!

Now Braekhus is back to her opportunistic ways by fighting smaller or weight drained opponents while Shields is draining herself to get down and fight the best, thats the differences!

Your girl Braekhus knows whos the best, the only way she sees the final bell against Shields is because womens boxing is only 2 min rounds!

Shields is a talent and she has a bright future but frankly as of now her accomplishments and her resume are a long long way behind Braekhus'. She does have time to catch up though, although it'll be hard fighting at 154 and up given the relative lack of depth. I understand she's the big thing right now, and a flagbearer for women's boxing in the US, and I honestly wish her every success but in relative terms this is something akin to comparing Lomachenko to Mayweather.

As to fighting the best... well... Habazin. As to bringing people up... ummm.. Gabriels, which remains Claressa's best win IMO, slightly ahead of Hammer. Neither are close to the level of Farias or Mathis. And if Braekhus is running out of opposition at Welter it's largely because she already beat anyone worth a damn at either 147 or the neighbouring divisions.

Could she go up to face Shields, yeah I guess. Does she need to at near 39 years old as the most accomplished female the world has yet seen? Well that's the eternal dilemma ain't it? I would say no, she already proved herself in every way necessary and earned the right for challengers to come to her, but of course if you're a fan of Shields you might see things different.

Shields doesn't knock anybody out, and you think she's going to KO a woman who beat Anne Sophie Mathis twice?

This is what Mathis did to Holly Holm:

So if Braekhus fights someone moving down, they're weight drained. And if she fights someone moving up, they're too small. Sounds like she can't win with you.

Shields fighting the best? You mean like Ivana Habazin, Femke Hermans, and Hannah Rankin in 3 of her last 5?

Ivana Habazin - already dominated by Braekhus at 147, her natural weight
Femke Hermans - 3-3 in her last 6 fights
Hannah Rankin - 3-4 record against opponents with a winning record

Shields' best win was Christina Hammer, who got KTFO'd by Mathis.

Her second best win was Hanna Gabriels, who got stopped by Oxandia Castillo, who got stopped by Breakhus.

Here is Breakhus' record vs champions (Big 4, lineal, or interim; IBO champs are only listed if they also won a big 4 belt and no others are counted) and the record of those ladies at the time of the fight against Braekhus:
                      Mikaela Lauren x2 (6-0-0 TKO7, 29-4-0 TKO6) WBC 154, IBO 154
                      Eva Bajic (6-2-0 KO3) IBF 147
                      Chevelle Hallback (28-6-2) lineal 135
                      Anne Sophie Mathis x2 (26-2-0, 27-3-1 TKO2) WBA/WBC/IBF 140
                      Mia St. John (47-12-2 TKO3) WBC 154
                      Oxandia Castillo (12-0-2 TKO9) WBO 154
                      Myriam Lamare (22-3-0) WBA/IBF 140, IBF 140
                      Ivana Habazin (13-1-0) IBF 147, IBO 160
                      Jennifer Retzke (15-1-1) IBF 154, IBO 147
                      Chris Namus (21-3-0) IBF 154
                      Klara Svennson (17-1-0) WBCi 140, WBCi 147
                      Erica Farias (24-1-0) WBC 135, WBC 140, WBC 140
                      Kali Reis (13-6-1) WBC 160
                      Inna Sagaydakovskaya (7-0-0) WBCi 147
                      Victoria Bustos (19-5-0) IBF 135, IBF 135, IBF 140

Farias, Lamare, St John, Hallback, and Mathis are all 100% guaranteed Hall of Famers. And none of them could take 3 rounds from Breakhus. Two of them got stopped.

                      And next up:
                      Jessica McCaskill (8-2-0) WBA/WBC 140
