Creatine can cause death with boxing?

I bought protein and creatine and i want to use it for boxing. Now i know the protein is a good thing. But i searched google and i saw that creatine takes the water out of your organs when ur boxing? and it can cause u a heart attack because ur working out a lot.

Now i don't know if i can use it or not. So i thought lets ask this on a boxing forum. So does anybody knows if it is unhealthy for me to use creatine for boxing?

    Thanks in advance

No it won't cause a heart attack, go research a bit more. If such were so creatine wouldn't be sold, and it wouldn't be marketed as a workout supplement if there were many creatine/sport deaths.

Creatine has shown to beneficial not only to the body but also the mind, there is also evidence that it aids in lowering cholesterol.

You know that your body makes creatine right?

Anyways, creatine doesn't suck the water out of your organs. Most people's complaints about creatine supplements is that it retains water. lol

So uhh take it for as long as you want. It wont do harm to your body. As for dosage, follow what is on the package. lol

Protein will neither cause you to cramp or dehydrate you.

I saw on yahoo answers someone saying this:
Creatine gives the illusion of being stronger than you are..it also helps with static weight movement (IE weight lifting) but has no health benefits whatsoever. In boxing or endurance sports....creatine can actually kill you.

Creatine uses your potassium in your system to drain excess liquids in your body to store them in your muscles, causing them to swell. This is a temporary benefit though...once you stop taking them....most of your "gains" disappear.

BUT, more importantly....potassium drain and the excess liquids in and around your kidneys, and other organs...are necessary. ESPECIALLY when you do high endurance training.

In worst case scenario...if you took creatine as a part of your training before a fight...during the twelve or ten round bout you would suffer "flop sweat extreme"...your muscles would release all of the liquid stored in an attempt to cool your body. With no potassium to help you recover....its easy to suffer a brain stroke.

PLEASE...dont go the creatine route with endurance training. It only helps bodybuilders.:
              And this:
I will type this boldly....DO NOT USE CREATINE FOR BOXING!!!! It is the most dangerous thing you can do!!!!

Creatine uses potassium to draw the excess water from your organs into your muscles. That is why they tell you to drink water in excess.

There are two downsides to this regarding sports. Water drop, and stress levels.

During the DeLaHoya fight with Antonio Vargas, Vargas was doing fine initially...and then suddenly his muscles cramped and he seemed exhausted. After a prolonged period at a raised temperature (as all endurance based exercises will raise your heart rate and your body temperature slightly)..your body will flush any excess liquids to cool itself off...including the ones stored in your muscles. Hence the sudden cramping.

The other part is the stress levels. Coercing your potassium to store water in your muscles is no big deal when you are standing under hot lights on a stage and posing. When you are doing high stress endurance sports (such as boxing or marathon running) it can be deadly. Manipulating your potassium like that, when you are already drawing water from your kidneys, can cause a heart attack. Its never good to manipulate your internal organs like that.
So i began to doubt if it would be harmful.

But im just gonna use it and drink enough water.. Thanks for all the replys everyone! :P

I highly doubt it becaue the creatine gain loss after discontinuing useis a myth, looking stronger is debatable, it DOES have health benefits, etc.

"The main function of Creatine in our body is to produce energy that we need to help make use of our muscles. Meaning, to facilitate muscle contraction we need this substance. There is this certain energy substance that supplies the muscles to contract called ATP or Adenosine Triphosphate. This ATP is stored and when the need comes, the stored ATP is the first ones to be utilized."

It also acts a lactic acid buffer, etc look it up from credible sources, you're choosing yahoo answers to guide you lol.

I'm 39 years old and very sensitive to the workings of my body. After extensive research I stopped taking all supplements 4 years ago and my health and performance have both improved as a result.

The best addition to my diet has been a pint of live juice made from a combination of vegetable, fruit, and berries twice a day. I make it myself using a live enzyme juicer. The has improved my digestion so that I extract more out of the food I do eat whilst storing less fat.

I also avoid refined sugars, white starches (white rice, white pastas, potatoes etc), pork, citrus, red meat, cows milk, and all refined foods.
