    Boxing session length

How long do you train at your club ? 6 - 8 the clubs times are where I train, sometimes it will stay open untill 8.30 so we train for 2 - 2 and a half hours. Was just wondering if this is to long or normal.

Due to work constraints, most of my training generally consist of 60-80 minutes 4 to 5 times a week, so 120+ minutes in one go sounds quite intense, at least from my point of view. Especially if you're repeating that 4/5 times a week.

How many times per week are you currently training? And do you always train that long? Any good piece of advice will depend on us knowing the regularity of your training too.

        2 - 3 times a week I'll do the 2 - 2 1/2 boxing sessions and then weights for 1 hour on different days

Due time issues, I usually have an hour per day, at most.

I average about an hour a day. Sometimes I will go 1.5hrs. Really depends on what your trying to achieve. I only increase time or intensity in small increments. If I do too much too quick, usually results in some type of injury which then I have to take time off which is undesirable.

I remember the old days when I had nothing better to do and did 3 hours

Tuesdays and Thursdays I'll do boxing training for an hr and then spar for about an hrs time (not the full hour obviously but do like 3 rds on and take a rd or 2 off then get a rd or two, repeat, etc) so 2 hrs total.

Saturdays I do 2 hrs of training (1 hr reg boxing training then another hr with my coach/trainer) then I'll spar for an hr after that, so 3 hrs total.

Sounds like a solid training regime as you've outlined strength, cardio and sparring exercises. If you're pushing yourself to the limit and still feeling good - I say keep it up. When it becomes an easier routine, find ways to make it harder/more intense. All the best man!
