We’re doing that well because we have top 3-5 players in the world all over the pitch. The two central mids who play in front of Fabinho are the least glamorous in the team and not world class but even then their workmanlike nature really compliments the rest of the starting 11 well.

We have had some close games that could’ve been draws but that’s just how it goes, great teams can gut out results when not playing well or hold on to a narrow lead. A couple of years ago we would’ve dropped a lot of points from winning positions.

Klopp has just worked wonders with the team and turned it into a winning machine. He knows how to get the absolute best out of each individual and I think many of them wouldn’t be as good if they left. he also adapted his style well, we aren’t as gung ho as his first couple years although today we did press more like when he first joined.

Also with regards to Trent he is susceptible to being caught out of position but the system we play means him and Robbo are forward so much that so that doesn’t help. He has had some very good defensive performances eg against Sane in the Champions League where they clearly targeted him and had no success at all. I agree overall with you’re point on his defence though, definitely room for improvement.

I agree. Mane and Salah are very good players but I think both of them have deviated from their mean somewhat. Like their somehow better than they should be.

Both are stratospheric over the last 18 months. That’s not to say great professionals can’t just get better. These guys play footy everyday. The smart ones do get better.

Lampard is the classic example. Sterling is another one, but I put that Salah and Mane in that mould. They’re very good players but it’s like they’ve figured the game out - I don’t think they’re frightening talents. They’re not as good at football as someone like Eden Hazard is.

Henderson is probably the greatest achievement of any manager ffs. Klopp makes him seem important somehow.

I watch him a lot of the time and wonder who he’d play for if he didn’t find this weird niche Liverpool.

He’s Liverpool’s John Obi Mikel but he’s not as good as Mikel. Or Henderson whose main role seems to be geeing people up and whinging and just really really wanting it.

He was outrageously bad for England against Bulgaria. And England won that game 6 nil.

If Henderson was available on a free I’m not convinced anyone in the top 10 would want him. I have no idea why England pick him.

When you have a very good team you can have a guy that just plays his role like Mikel.

Bosingwa was one at Chelsea. I told everyone for ages that he was probably the worst right back in the premiership. He went to QPR and was an absolute farce. A well set up team can do wonders.

Even then Liverpool regularly empty out the midfield and nothing happens to them. They have a right back who does what he wants and a left back who does similar really.

I find them strange, tbh.

Fabinho was great for us again yesterday. I watched Match of the Day and in their analysis they made out Spurs's press forced our midfield to go back. I didn't see that, I saw them, for the most part, let Fabinho carry the ball and I thought he dictated things in the middle.

He's become vital for us. We still haven't lost a league game in which he has started. The worry is that he is one booking away from a suspension, so if he is booked against Villa next week..he'll miss the game against City.

I also caught the Arsenal highlights and the VAR controversy. The guys on Arsenal TV were losing their shit.

Do i think Fabinho, Salah, Mane and co could go to City/Barca etc and dominate/look as good as they do now?

Not really.. Couthino was the man at Liverpool.. been pretty awful at Barca then got shipped out on loan

Could be wrong.. i think City p4p have better players in most positions/on the bench..

Chelsea you could see a clear path, United have at the very least told fans they�re unloading players and building for the next 3 years. What the f is Arsenal playing for? Garbage absolute garbage.

Arsenal basically could do what Chelsea are doing maybe to a varying degree of success. But you could be starting Willock or the other lad who played in Germany. Maitland Niles in his proper position. I can�t really see how they wouldn�t do as well as Xhaka, Torreira, or Guendozi.

I�m pretty gassed on Chelsea at the minute but we�ll obviously lose games and become a bit ragged. So we�ll see. I said top 8 before the season, then it was top 6. So whatever we do is fine.

The positive being when we do enter the market I don�t see many players turning us down. Especially younger ones.

Cant under sell Liverpool's stars.

Mane, Firmino, and Salah are that good. Period.

The system brought the most out of them but they can play at any club in the world at this point in their careers.

You wouldnt choose Mane over Sterling though. But i guarantee he'd be favored over Hazard at Real Madrid right now.

Even if Hazard would make Liverpool even better than with Mane.

Maintland Niles isnt that good. Willock isnt that good either.

Their best kids are Nelson (who grew up playing football with Sancho on the streets) and that Saka kid. Those two guys are lights out talents.

What other manager has 3 world class players in a mediocre squad and proceeds to make 2 of them mediocre (auba, laca), while completely dropping the 3rd (ozil)?
