Debt clearly played a part, that might explain why Wenger has never ever! done that before, yet he has built how many Championship winning sides, he is not a moron, he did not suddenly wake up one day and think, i know what?

Gilberto was 26 when he joined Arsenal, he was also joining a squad of players consisting of inexperienced vets, so what are you talking about, Pires form was irrelevant, when he joined Arsenal he was an experienced player.

No he left because he became disillusioned at the choice to let Vieira leave, he spent the whole season mulling over whether to sign a new contract or whether he was gonna leave.

Henry like Pires, Gilberto were all joining a squad of experienced players, fact!!

To answer your question, yes, Wenger has always believed in the youth players and their coming through the ranks so to speak. The experienced players were not what they used to be, as proven in their life after Arsenal,

No, Wenger tried to shorten the wage budget by chopping these players because he did not want older players sitting on big contracts because Arsenal were at it financially. Younger players dont command such high wages. Henry was a mistake, Vieira ? well there has been talk of resigning so what does that tell you. Wenger dropped a bollock in the way he let so many players leave but he thought he could sustain a challenge with these kids, that said there is no question in my mind he was forced into the mindset through lack of funds and a huge debt, that is why Arsenal have won nothing, look at whats been spent by Arsenal, Chelsea, Pool, United before you talk out your arse again.

Thats pure Bollock's Gilberto was our best player the season before, so much so that many!!!!! people assumed he would be given the captaincy right there and then, but Wenger gave it to Gallas thus proving he had not intention of keeping Gilberto, next season he froze Gilberto out, it had nothing to do with the emergence of Flamini, Wenger had already made his mind up.

Diaby is 23, give him time, when he wants he plays magnificent but he needs that consistency and the injuries don't help either.

Diaby is pony, so is Senderos, Sly, Almunia and Eboue aint far behind.

You are ****ing ****** if you think debt has not restricted Arsenal success. Yes the League is stronger but not strong enough to stop Arsenal winning at least one trophy, lack of funds are the reason and that stats back that up, get a clue son, just get a clue.
My su****ions were right, another one who's blaming Arsenal not winning things because Wenger doesn't buy the Messi, Barrys, Xavi Alonsos and the David Villas. Arsenal will never be a spending club NEVER, get over it, if not go support Chelsea. Now I understand when you whine about the spendings, the debt, we haven't because blah blah you get ignored. You're obviously disillusioned, you measure success at the club only if trophies are won and since that isn't the case you think there is absolute failure at Arsenal. Because of debt, the players, the experience being let go......

            To quote something I read

"Hollow statements like if they dont buy, they wont challenge?or if they buy that club, is there money to invest in new players?are commonplace, sad indicators of how finance has infiltrated football to the point of sheer ******ity. It has a place in football but the tail started wagging this dog a long time ago. Over the last 4 years, there have been moments where the team has not shrouded themselves in glory, an inevitable part of their growth that we should accept and embrace. We have all seen Arsenal games to forget. These are opportunities to highlight improvement, to make the team better.

Paying for the stadium affects our ability to invest in the squad on the same scale as other clubs.

I admit to frustration, anger and outright sadness at lost games. Id be worried if I didnt feel this way because of the passion and emotion I have for the team. When we eventually win something, Ill still be an emotional wreck but the happiest kind.

Nobody said it would be easy or that mistakes were not going to be made. The tactical ones were totally avoidable. Many times Ive contemplated throwing the TV out of the window or storming the Emirates home dressing room because of what Ive seen on the pitch. Expressing disappointment is OK. Its a natural emotion because I love the club and Im passionate about what we stand for.

More importantly, no disappointment has ever stopped me from wholeheartedly supporting the 11 players on the pitch. Human nature is such that we are often blinded by our struggles in life, making it hard for us to recognise what success looks like any more."

"Gilberto was 26 when he joined Arsenal, he was also joining a squad of players consisting of inexperienced vets, so what are you talking about, Pires form was irrelevant, when he joined Arsenal he was an experienced player."

Yeah so the French and Brasilian leagues are experience enough for the Prem, not really. So when the current squad came in, Henry, Pires, Casley, Campbell, Bergkamp, Ljungberg, Viera were there, don't you think those qualify as experienced vets like you say. They were getting older, where the **** is Campbell now, Pires isn't at the same level since leaving to Spain, Viera wasn't the same either, Ljungberg was always injured at the end of his time at Arsenal, now hes in the MLS, Flamini bench at Milan, Gilberto in Greece, not even a shadow of what he was.

"No he left because he became disillusioned at the choice to let Vieira leave, he spent the whole season mulling over whether to sign a new contract or whether he was gonna leave."

Maybe in your delusional Arsenal-don't-win-things-cause-of-debt world that was the reason. He left because he saw frankly he wasn't on the managers plans, he was getting old wasn't going to get a place in the side back

I'm clueless???? Wenger himself has said it, he believes in time this squad will match the others hes had and these players will put in the pitch the experience absorbed during the time the invincibles were still at the club.

You su****ions were not right though. Im glad!! Arsenal have not spent money they dont (United) have in search of trophies because that means the club is safe, which is the main priority as far as im concerned. But i also know that the debt and the lack of funds is the reason we have not won anything, not to say we would of swept all before us, but we would of won something!!

"ITV Sport calculate that... Liverpool's net spending on players over
the last five years is ?2.5 million, while united's been ?5.5 million.
Chelsea spent ?54.8 million net on players over the same period,
while arsenal splashed just ?.4 million in net terms".

Its right there in black and white, what cant speak cant lie, no one expects Villa for Henry but if we dont win anything and we have replaced Gilberto/Vieira with the likes of Deni & Diaby then money is clearly effecting the running of the team not to mention the fact your rivals can think nothing of splashing 20mil+ here and there.

I cant believe you! are an Arsenal fan. You did not know Gilberto, Pires were experienced players when they joined Arsenal, you were unaware that Gilberto was playing out his skin the season before he left and that Wenger went and gave the captaincy to Gallas then fazed him out, that Henry left because he was disillusioned with the sale of Vieira.

Thats all right, you're not going to change your opinion even after you got it in your head its a money issue. Funny though, you consider a man playing in the Brasilian league and a surplus in his national team squad before 2002 world cup an experienced player, the same with a fantastic and talented french winger who played in the french league only an experienced player thats fine by me then. But the experience in those two came from playing with Arsenal not before.

What you fail to realize is that this club has never spent big and yet won a double two times in the last 20 years and went unbeaten one season. But the club is going through a make over in the squad department, to tell me that this squad is not experienced or maturing each time out, yet we reach FA Cup finals, Carling Cup finals and semis with B+C squads while the others go full strength, are in the Semis and quarter finals of the Champions League most of the seasons, finish 3rd, 4th, 2nd in the Prem. with a group of player you say suck, aren't experienced enough who are just 20 or under 25 and still improve every season.......Yeah It's a money problem

Who cares if Gilberto was playing in Brazil, he proved when he came to Arsenal that he was of a sufficient standard, so the experience he had & the age he was, was clearly sufficient. Its not about where he was playing but more about his age, generally 20 year olds are inconsistent, where as 26 year olds are generally able to perform at their level with more consistency, but hey thats commonsense

Bottom line is Arsenal have never!!! released so many experienced players and tried to supplement that with so many young players, they have sprinkled the team with young players in sides that had lots of experience, so you clearly talking out your arse again, Debt is the reason they did something completely unprecedented of that they had never done before.

What you fail to realize is, Wenger inherited a team of experienced players like Bould, Adams, Dixon, Keown, Parlour, he did not need to spend big, he also already has Bergkamp, Wright.

Its not just transfer fees either, Arsenal were/are getting experienced players off the books because they command higher wages than young inexperienced players who command less, at the same time they were getting fees for those players before their transfer value dropped.

The debt has clearly effected the way Wenger handles the team, you son dont have a clue what you are talking about, you some johnny come lately bandwagon jumper.

Well that sums you up right there, Arsenal are **** if because they haven't won a trophy in 4 years, our team is inexperienced, they suck, we need big name players blah blah blah.
