i think its terrible.

i enjoyed waiting for the next episode of sopranos or the wire.

there's anticipation, intrigue, you are better able to digest what you saw instead of binge watching the entire thing where you might miss many details.

its more memorable the traditional release of tv shows instead of the netflix binge watching style.

That's literally what i suffered through(first episode only). Just with better production value thanks to HBO. The first episode was what? over an hr and half? basically a short movie? and what did we get?:

-half the cast is nearly black
-stud lesbian leading the good guys ( can you get any more transparent hollywood?)
-right hand woman of said stud justice ******** lesbian is of course a young lori lightfoot right down to the hairline.
-the lead actor is a hispanic looking man but his daughter is some racially ambiguous biracial child (of course.)
-1hr 20 something minutes total broken down to:

1hr plus of people talking in rooms
the rest of the time split in budget saving action scenes that last for what a couple of minutes?


society is fine one minute, some yuppies talking to psychiatrists, suddenly society is breaking down and the light skinned baby with the hispanic daddy's idyllic life is in danger from zombies, time elapsed (quickly) to some post society ruling class where the person in charge is another strong black woman in charge. today's tv equivalent of michelle rodgriguez.

no explanation of the green explosions or any plot development from society being fine to its breakdown or any character development as to why the leaders are who they are and what they are doing....

if you didnt play the video game, you wouldnt know what is happening half the time.
