Can you afford $ 6,500 month rent in the US? Any financial advisors want to give advice?

One woman is just out of bankruptcy a few years back and doesn't seem like she has a high earning career. The other woman is hairdresser? How do they do it?
Blair Featherman, 49, was recorded lashing out at the family during the racist tirade in Colorado on Friday - where she had to be held down by a man from her own party.

I saw this outburst. Utterly ridiculous.

Yes. That imo is a ridiculous amount for rent. That is a mortgage.

Hell that should be 2 mortgages- your home and the other you own but either plan to flip or rent out to make money.

A lot of rents today are same as mortgage payments. The down payment is just unobtainable for most.

Rent and Mortgage are usually pretty similar

The difference depends on how long you plan to stay

If you plan on moving every few years or so, renting will be cheaper and more convenient

The only advantage on buying a home is staying for a long time to build up the equity over the interest owed on the loan

Think of it as a car

          Lease or buy

If you plan on changing cars every 3-4 years, you save money leasing

Buying is if you want to keep the car longer

I didn't want to buy my car, so I looked into leasing

They told me $2200 a month, I was like "**** you" and I just bought it

              What state are you in?

              Depends on the state/city.

I know ppl from Georgia and Michigan and other states, they have mansions for less than the rent for an apartment down here

Yeah it's amazing how little goes towards principal in the first few years of a mortgage.
