    Crowdstrike /Microsoft outage

Anybody else affected by it ? . I have mentioned before that I work in IT for a huge company , that crowdsrike outtage fooked my whole day up. I woke up like at 1:30 AM cause my work PC lit up like a christmas tree , I started to TS it and got to the point where I was like I will deal it with when I wake up . But then I could not sleep thinking about it , ended up getting like 2 hours of sleep. Then I had to wake up extra early , to try to TS as I work 100% remotely and need to be logged into all my systems by 7:30

Could not fix the issue , so I had to get ready and drive into the city (which I hate doing , traffic is horrible) to go into the corporate office I unplugged my home pc and took with me so I could TS it there . Then I got to work and the gate guards are freaking out cause our security badges where all fooked up and not working, Finally get to my workspace peek into the command center and is when I finally see the news and the extent of the outage and everything that was affected globally .

I tell you what , what a pain in the ass to fix this was and not only that but some systems will need to be replaced as in order to deploy the fix the PC has to boot up to a certain bitlocker screen prior in order to be able to boot into safe mode to deploy certain passwords and scripts to find the corrupted file and be able to delete it .Thankfully we deploy updates in batches just in case sheeit goes sideways .Needless to say work was busy AF , then it took me 2 fookin hours to get home cause the traffic was so bad reminded me why I love working 100% remote .

Surprised this wasn't posted earlier. Billions of $$$ lost. Nearly everyone in IT that I know got hit and were working around the clock. Easy fix, but huge **** up by CrowdStrike. Certain media outlets pinned it on MSFT lol.

Glad I am laid off with severance and unemployment right now for sure to not have to deal with this **** (SysEng/DBA).

Agree this had global impact across multiple industries.Airlines , banks , casinos ,Hospitals and emergency services (911) were down on top of the staggering amount of money and lost productivity,

I couldn’t play my XBOX games yesterday, especially the GamePass games.

        I want reparations…

            - - Microsoft is a patchwork software of a billion patches correcting errors. Also easily hacked as municipalities are finding out. Easy hobby for hackers to take down big systems these days.
