Sleeping for 48 hours straight is extremely rare and usually signals an underlying issue like extreme exhaustion, illness, or a sleep disorder. While brief extended sleep might happen, staying asleep that long without waking is not typical or healthy. But I can do that after my work day

I'm sure this is impossible without medication. Sometimes I'm so tired after work that I really want to sleep for 48 hours. But I've gained weight because I have a more sedentary job. I recently found and I think this is the best idea for me. I want to do sports from home so I don't have to spend a lot of time going to the gym and back.

I also think that a healthy person can't sleep that long without meds. Even during burnout or extreme fatigue, 48 hours seems excessive. I’ve seen discussions on where people talk about long sleep stretches during withdrawal or tapering, but that’s usually med-related, not something that happens naturally.

Sleeping straight for 48 hours is generally not possible or healthy for most people. The body’s natural sleep cycles and circadian rhythm typically limit continuous sleep to around 8-12 hours at most. Sleeping that long could indicate an underlying health issue or extreme exhaustion. If you feel the need to sleep excessively, it’s best to consult a healthcare professional.

With severe clinical Depression it can happen.

                It has happened to me.
