Latinos, can you read and write in Spanish?

I'm sure most of you were born in the States or have been living in America for quite some time and don't need to read and write in Spanish. I know most of you can speak Spanish.

I'm wondering, how well can you fellas read and write in Spanish?

I can read quite well in Spanish but I can't write very well in Spanish that's why I prefer to type in Engilsh on here in the Hispanic Lounge.

Aprendi a leer y escribir espanol ( estoy en 'notebook' so no tengo acceso a ~ ) en La Isla cuando mi padres se mudaron de Nueva Yol. Logre entrar a la Universidad de Puerto Rico facilmente sin estudiar mucho. Lamentablemente no escribo muy a comun en espanol.

I lived in Durango from the age of 13 thru 15 and went to school, I learned to write it, still had a hard time understanding all the accents and where they belong but I got them down for the most part.

It's definitely great to know how to write and read both languages and I only speak spanish to my 3 boys so they can learn it as well, and my oldest is beginning to read spanish books to be more familiar with spanish literature.
