I wish that The Aristoc**** wasn't so "clever" and had just let comedians do their thing without all the editing/cuts away. Still an okay view...

Saw that awhile ago.It was okay a little too long and a little too low budget tho.The sequel had a bigger budget, but it was sucky.

I thought Aristoc**** was okay. Bob Sagat's version was hilarious. I picked up Clerks 2 the other day on DVD. I was worried I would be let down, but damn it was almost as good as the first one. Great movie, and the 90 minute or so documentary was interesting.

I give the original Clerks. a 10/10 - it's a comedy classic, and other than Annie Hall, has the best comedic dialogue I've ever seen in a film.

The second one I gave a 7/10 to and I liked a few scenes in quite a bit...

Saw a pretty good one tonight.

                A History of Violence

It's a solid three-star movie. I kind of wish that the story had been more involved, but what was onscreen was always interesting. Viggo Mortensen is a badass in this movie.

Not sure if William Hurt's Oscar nomination was warranted, though...

I liked that film. Thought it was very simple and effective. Those sex scenes were somthing else.

But for a Cronenberg film it was unusual. Didnt have the usual Cronenberg signitures.

I enjoyed that flick...Its almost so bad its good, kinda good.

Have you seen any Takeshi Kitano movies,Nails? He kind of created the archetype for Mortensen's character. That movie was like a Takeshi Kitano movie with a happy ending slapped on.

If you want see something similar with a harder edge, Id recommend :

                    Violent Cop (derectorial debut;crazy movie)
                    Hana-bi (aka Fireworks,Probably Kitano's best)
Sonatine (I think this one is one is part of the "Tarantino Presents" series)

Easier to find might his movie called "Brother" it was an american movie I think,so its kind of like Takeshi Kitano "lite",but an okay movie.

He directs/stars in all of those.
