Was Babalu in the wrong for chocking out David Heath?

For those of you who don't know the build up it went like this, David Heath said some things to Renato Sobral that he didn't like. During the fight Babalu beatthatass and applied a choke hold. When Heath went limp, Babalu didn't let go of it. Big John tried to break them up and couldn't. Babalu eventually let it go.

SO, was he being childish or was he in the right to beat that ass, and choke that ass, make that ass go limp.

You gotta fine his ass bigtime. Idiots like that will only learn when you hurt their checkbook.

          Zuffa banished him for it.

For the record, he claimed later that it wasn't actually his intent to choke him unconscious, and that he was caught up in the moment in the post-fight interview.
