Jose Aldo could be the first....

Jose Aldo could be the first UFC title to hold 2 titles at once and then the first fighter to relinquish a UFC belt for another weight class.

Its crazy how this man in probably the next year could definitely make a top P4P current rankings statement and even jump up the ATG P4P ladder if he beats Pettis and the Bendo/Melendez winner.

Dana said if Aldo becomes lightweight champ he's staying. I feel like if Aldo does this he is seriously threatening Hughes, Big Nog, Jon Jones and maybe even BJ Penns ATG P4P spots. Especially if he can hold the title just as long as he did at featherweight, then he seriously probably would be #2 only to Anderson IF he beat Jones.

Proud of Aldo if anybody deserves this honor its him he's been a model champion and has fought nothing but the hottest top challengers available.

His resume is already ridiculous destroying Brown, Faber, ,Gamburyian Mendes Swanson grinding out homminick and florian and then beating Edgar. His resume if fuuukkkiin tough already

If he could muscle up properly to a lightweight frame and stay the same fighter hell be damn hard to beat especially if he keeps that take down defense. If his take down defense carries over against the bigger guys Bendo and Melendez are screwed. And if Pettis can't out strike him I don't see anybody else. Personally I feel Aldo puts on a leg kick clinic against Pettis and make him chase and maybe make him run into a KO shot

He cuts a crazy amount of weight to get down to 145, he gasses a fair bit in the last few rounds, I think he'll be a better fighter at 155 at this point. I can see him beating Pettis in a great fight but him vs Bendo will be a tough fight but winnable.

I'm a fan of Aldo, great stand up and takedown defence and he isn't scared of anyone.

he's already a natural lightweight. just look at how much bigger he looked than Edgar in their fight. They looked 2 divisions apart in size.

Agree. He is a fairly big FW as it is. I think moving up to LW is necessary as he gets older.

The fight with Pettis is going to be indescribable. pettis is my dog, but Aldo earned so many G points for coming out and saying he'd move up to challenge Bendo (if he gets past Melendez) after he beats Pettis.

May the best man win. 50/50 fight.

If going down doesn't affect Pettis too much I think he might take this in the late rounds. Pettis sure as hell doesn't give rounds away like Edgar.
