I am 52. Remember every painful, unpleasent thing about Tyson's fall. He was self destructive and surrounded by enablers after he lost Cus. He became insulated. He became incoherent. He became rich and pampered to.

I believed it then, I believe it now. Pay no attention to revisionist history. The vast majority of non-Tyson fans believed it.

- - Mike became the most dominant record setting champ in history AFTER Cus. He still had HOFers Jimmy Jacobs and Bill Cayton guiding him and number 1 Cus protege Kevin Rooney as his trainer.

Mike was abandoned as a toddler with absent father and crack mother and likely sexually abused from birth. His prison background well attended to, but as he gained money and fame, of course the hookers and back slappers gonna make their moves, and premedication Mike could go off the rails. Like l'l Floydy, he paid off his assaults, but never laid a mean hand on Missy Washington who had nary a scratch nor bruise on her delicate features.

Maybe you boys never realized it, but half the rapists and women murderers in prison are innocent and half the **** assault, murder cases of women that are dismissed are guilty. We live in a lying cultural undercurrent that has been their since time immemorial.

Mike was the poster child for inmate rehabilitation with an education far beyond the school system that Cus provided. When Jacobs died is when it all starts to go south as DKing and Givens double team him to the point where his demons return and he gets put on dangerous than and now experimental psychotropic meds that he doesn't like and ditches whenever he can. How many millions did his handlers pay women whether assaulted or not to go away?

True and true again but they didn't do it out of love, they did it for prestige and profit. They used the kid as much as anybody else and only after all the adversity had occurrd would we have known their true feelings.

Because the kid felt loved for the first time in his life doesn't mean they actually loved him. He would have been a real easy mark to con and manipulate emotionally (see Don King).

I don't like the stories I heard coming out of the Catskills - he was indulged and taught he was special and not responsible; that there would be no consequences.

They may have professed love but I am not convinced there would have a happy ending even if Jim and Gus survived to see the end.

What did she think was happening after midnight in his hotel room after some drinks and partying? But if we look at Tyson's history of run-ins with women, some of which were hidden from the media like his alleged **** of Bill Cosby's daughter, it's a tough call. I don't doubt he may have been aggressive with women, whether he actually ****d them I don't really know.

He didn't corner Mrs. Washington in a dark alley and forcibly penetrated her. But he likely did refuse to stop after hurting her during what started out as consensual sex. Is there a difference between the two situations? Yes. Does that make him less of a rapist? No.
