The next group could certainly be considered on talent, but none have or will achieve the same level of greatness because of today's politics. We can speculate all day but the fact is, these guys, or at least most never fought the same level of talent over an extended period. Jmo.

Robinson won the welter title as well as the middle title, back when that was a feat. He lost to Maxim in the grueling heat and spotted the reigning champion 16lbs while doing it. The pool of fighters today is no where close to what it was back when Robinson was fighting. And there were not numerous titles up for grabs back then. Only one champion per division as it should be.......Rockin'

For the life of me I cannot understand why people insist on ranking Ezzard Charles and Sam Langford among the absolute best P4P when they aren't even the best at their own weight!!!!
