Will GGGs "title" defense "record" be rescinded now that WBA ruled? Or does that not count?

    Will GGGs "title" defense "record" be rescinded now that WBA ruled? Or does that not count?

    Ggg was gifted his "wba interim world title" vs milton nunez. To this day ggg & his fans in the msm proclaim him to have tied Bhops record for title defenses despite not only making tons of defenses with a Jr title,but also getting a Draw in that timespan,neither of which Bhop needed when he made his 20 FULL title defenses as well as Bhop being unified for many years by beating the other full champs.

    I also wonder if Tank Davis is no longer going to be multiple division champ considering this ruling?

    The WBA said that all prior interim champs would be now classified as #1 contenders.(its confusing since oftentimes they call the "world" belt "interim world championship" like ggg v Nunez

    Come on now,why is everyone around here such duckers if the threads discussing uncomfortable truths/or things they'd prefer to ignore?

    Ggg fans especially seem the saltiest bunch of all fanbases who don't like debate(I'm not even debating anyways I just asked a question but I'm always being ducked)

        A couple things wrong with your post.

        Golovkin was elevated to Full Champion when Strum refused to fight him. Strum was given the Super Championship even though he meet none of the requirements set by the WBA at the time.

        The fight against Nunez isn't included in Golovkin's 20 title defenses.

        Hopkins 20 Title defenses includes a NC.

        It really depends on who you considered the legit champion between Strum & Golovkin. Strum should have been stripped of the title but instead was given the Super Championship which at the time had clear guidelines on how it was suppose to be rewarded. Golovkin was the WBA Champion, not Regular WBA Champion.

          Borat is a nobody. He returned to fighting roofers and auto mechanics. His claim to glory was a gift decision (including an illegal KD) against SD, a gift against Jacobs, and going 1-1 w/ Canelo.

          Some peeps here wanted to make him out to be special. Just a prima donna ****** Kazakh who wanted everyone from 154-168...at 160. Now its bye bye Borat

                Nope this is completely incorrect,go to boxrec & count the fights,a NC is not the same as a draw also.

                Ggg was the regular"champ" to Sturms Super champion (super is the real title)

                You can flip it however you want to but the fact remains that ggg was only the jr beltholder for 15 of the 20,& he didn't even defend the WBA 20 times consecutively,as the WBA refused to sanction the Brook mismatch.

                To top it off the record is for title defenses which means ggg only ties the record if you count Tapia as a title defense(which would mean Bhop had 21 defenses if you count that)

                    Doubtful......it was in the past and was recorded as a title defence so it's valid, if it was happening these days then it would be a different story
