Comments Thread For: Khan: Brook Fought Out of His Skin. I Wasn't Ready For That, He Was The Much Better Man

Amir Khan realizes that he took a lot of punishment on Saturday, when he suffered a stoppage loss at the hands of his career rival, Kell Brook. The two former world champions met in the ring at Manchester Arena, with Brook dominating the majority of the fight with his power shots.

Since he's being humble, I'd like to at least thank Khan for being entertaining if nothing else. He wasn't a great fighter but he was successful at it for a living and I respect all fighters for their effort, win lose or draw.

      “I wasn’t ready for that”

translation: “I ducked him for years until I thought he was shot enough to stand a chance of beating. He wasn’t.”

I feel that Khan has always been a pretty humble guy, especially in defeat. He had an exceptionally successful career, made a lot of money and fought the highest level of competition. He was always a flawed fighter, but at his peak he was an extremely dangerous and elite world class fighter. A lot of fans derided him through the years for his somewhat delusional self confidence but I was always impressed with his ability to look past defeat and move forward with confidence. His positive outlook could reasonably be called delusion but what’s the point in letting defeat overwhelm and beat you? Khan showed a lot of class yesterday so he deserves respect imo.

I always thought brook would just be to big and powerful for Khan and last night even tho both are near the end that came to reality soon as brook landed clean Khan couldn't take the power he was all over the place. And Deep down I think Khan knew that was a risk always so he just always stayed away from that fight even when the public demanded it because he knew if he lost he'd be done so he's waited till now where he knows it's near the end to take the fight knowing it was the last big day he could get

KHAN: "Brook fought out of his skin. I wasn't ready for that, nor his strength. No excuses from me. He was much the better man. We can go for coffee anytime he wants."

TRANSLATION: "Brook beat skin off my narrow ass. I was delusional to ever think I could f..k with his extra strong ass. His c..k and his nuts must be huge compared to mine. I'm his bishh now. He can break some chocolate brownie off in mine or Faryl's ass, anytime he wants

I like Khan. Always in entertaining fights and goes down swinging. Brook was always going to win this fight but I’m still glad they finally made it happen. I also like the respect both men are showing to one another. I know that’s typical but far from a guarantee given the history these two share.
