He doesn't have a one punch knockout power but he’s a solid puncher, he can hurt any super middleweight opponent even without accumulation which comes easily for him with his gas tank and hand speed. When he does loads up on his punches, he stops his opponents on their tracks like he did against stylistically crafty fighters like Plant and Andrade, He got them both into the body, and left their faces a lumping mess after he caught them. He had also stunned heavy punchers like Lemieux and Angulo backtracking them whenever they got too close for comfort. There is a reason why the guy has 86% stoppage rate. (By the way I am not insinuating that Lemieux was a difficult opponent, he just knew how to handle him).

Both fighters are tailor made for each other since they will both fight forward and engage, however David isn't no stiff Callum Smith or John Ryder, defense wise he is closer to a Daniel Jacobs and GGG in their prime, Benavidez is also physically bigger than both of them and has an insane output with high precision. While in the other hand, Canelo's defense and stamina has degraded, where he overly relies only in throwing hard punches before trying to recover and throwing 3-5 punches per round while slowly stalking his opponent. Reason why aggressive big punchers with a degree of defense like a heavily declined GGG and Ryder who came off a controversial decision win over a declined Jacobs, managed to put a better fight than Saunders and Plant. He might not have the mobile slick footwork of Bivol, but he has a higher output and reach, plus he has more punching power to boot. That's why I think he be a nightmare for Canelo to deal with. If Canelo wins, then Kudos to him.

I think Canelo does what Andrade could not. Andrade landed but he couldn't hurt and deter Benevidez. Force caution into the Benevidez offense and it's a different game.

It’s the way of life for Canelo at this point.

If the fight gets made next year, you’re going to see a lot of the same fans change their tune and go more towards Benavidez being a cherrypick and that Canelo is just avoiding Bivol and Beterbiev.

That’s usually how the whole moving the goal post stuff works.

Look at canelo's last 4 fights, he has dropped off and he couldnt hurt any of those guys, why would we think he can hurt David? If he cant hurt him does he have a plan B? there really is no plan B, canelo has cement feet, its not like he can stick and move for 12 if Canelo cant hurt him
Basically. David would start beating the crap out of him by the mid rounds and the fight will be stopped. It will be a brutal and surprisingly easy fight for Benavidez because he has so many advantages. People will be shocked and say Canelo is shot blah blah. I think Eddie and Canelo fear this, which is why they never fight. Just too big, fast and strong. The whole package is too much.

I believe Canelo can take his best shots and go away with decision. But I am not so sure Benavidez will be happy feeling Canelo`s punches. Saul for sure hits harder than Plant and Andrade lol.

Benavidez has youth on his side and he has a great stamina, that is it. But, again, good luck with stopping Canelo. Unless he has cruiserweight level power, I don`t see it.
Bivol is not a hard puncher, I agree DB has never been hit as hard as Canelo will hit him, its a shootout fight both guys are aggressive, I think Canelo has a really good shot at winning, if DB handles his power with no problems then Canel is in trouble, so far Canelo has hurt pretty much all he landed solid on.

I hope the fight happens soon its going to build up to a mega-fight.

Canelo is already done , like fughin toast
Need not to look further than his last 4 fights , seriously
Even Shadowskunt jumped ship when Bivol beat the chit out of him
ShadowKunt has a poster of Canelo and a pair of his boxers to sniff and he jumped ship
You got Regge Boy who’s torn between his two loves , Canelo and Benavidez
Better for the fight to not happen so Canelo , Regge Boy and ShadowKunt can enjoy their bromance

Canelo wins 116-112 or 115-113 UD. Benavidez is too aggressive and comes in wide open. Canelo will tame his offense and outclass him.

Nelo has the pop to make a person pay for being defensively reckless.
