Comments Thread For: Top Rank Has Option to Co-Promote One Provodnikov Bout

Though there is not a rematch clause mandating another bout between Mike Alvarado and Ruslan Provodnikov, that doesn’t mean a rematch isn’t still a possibility, according to Provodnikov’s promoter, Artie Pelullo of Banner Promotions.

“There’s a one-fight option with Top Rank. We’ll co-promote,” Pelullo told jeetwin188.com after Provodnikov’s 10th-round stoppage of Alvarado on Saturday night in Broomfield, Colo. “It could be a rematch, absolutely.”

Precisely what happens with Provodnikov, Banner Promotions and Top Rank will be determined by the two promoters, he said. [Click Here To Read More]

you want a man to die so you can see certain boxing matches?

I'm sorry but anyone saying they shouldn't rematch is nuts..that was a good fight and interesting until it's end. That's what boxing for the masses is...these bouts are good for all boxers..whether you enjoy technical fighters or brawlers..everyone loves to see a firefight. Ruslan should stay at 140 since his biggest threats are moving up to 140. Hell since he's with Banner Promotions maybe Haymon pairs Ruslan with Lucas and we get a ****erfest.

People say stuff like this about Arum all the time, the worst part is it seems like they mean it.

Anyway, I don't want to see Alvarado v Provo next. I'd rather watch Rios v Provodnikov at 140 depending on how the Pac-Rios fight goes.
