With all due respect, it was quite apparent that Golovkin only half understood everything Kellerman was asking. He even responded once or twice with answers that had zero to do with the questions being asked. When Golovkin started drifting away from the questions, he should have brought Geale in there to talk about Golovkin or at the very least directed his questions to the translator to Golovkin's left side to get more appropriate answers instead of 'it's good, that's good, this is a fight, this not game.'

I agree. It was painful at times to listen to Golovkin. Geale deserved to be heard and I wanted to see if his senses were back.

Its quite clear that HBO is trying to hype the GGG train to the fullest and Max is the biggest GGG lover out their in HBO land. They could careless about what Geale had to say after that performance.

That was hilarious, I always enjoy the awkward interviews of GGG but we have to understand he is still learning and he has at least tried to make the effort to learn the language unlike many, many other professional boxers who reside in USA.



A referees job I always assumed was to be able to look for things in a fighter after they get hurt and to see a fighter shaking his head like that...
He looked like a beaten man he wasn't winning any rounds and he was just being systematically shut down.
Perhaps the referee did Geale a favour because If he did continue after that extremely hard knock-down who knows what would have followed with the next barrage of punches.

I don't see what is the big deal though the winner always gets interviewed first regardless of the dialect between them Geale showed disrespect to the fans of the show by not waiting his turn.

Here's a radical concept for Shaw: Wait till the end of the interview. The fact is, Geale declined to wait for the interview and left. But Max could have brought Geale into the fold but I think this was all about the GGG show.

I agree. Like Cyclone, RichardT and Tyler D mentioned, it was all about patience for me. Have some manners and wait till you are spoken too. I also hear what PoppaPump is saying about bringing Geale into the interview as they do sometimes do dual interviews but they usually do that when it was a very good close back and forth kina fight where both men earned respect for one reason or another. I don't think Geale gained anybodies respect in his showing and they should have just been patient until the interview was done. Besides lets be honest, being the Gennady slurper that he is I am very sure Max would have loved to hear Geale's praise of Golovkin afterwards. He would have came on himself listening to how strong Golovkin was and how helpless he was against him.

Lastly, I LOVE GGG's interviews. They are priceless. Im not even playing. His english is bad but his intentions are clear and his message is clear, so even though the words don't exactly mesh together correctly, you still understand exactly what he is saying. It's that contrast [to me] what makes his interviews so great.

It was obvious Geale wasn't there to win or even an opponent for this fight. The guy was thrown in a fight with HBO's new hype job. Everything during the fight was about the new opponent ducker g something.... Reminds me of Pacroid's fight where he's throwing punches that aren't landing but from the hbo commentator view point he's landing everything thrown. I stop watching after the first round because I saw what was coming when Max had nothing to say about Geale but everytabout the ducker g kid. I truly believe Max should be replaced as well as Jim. Hbo need to bring back fighters who have ring knowledge instead of d-riders.......
