What a fight and performance by Gonzalez undoubted one of the sports top 10 p4p fighters. He put on a great offensive display today.

I'm glad I sacrificed some sleep to watch this fight, the commentator was hilariously entertaining

Sorry but yaegashi was the only one I thought had the heart abd experience to beat Roman at 112 currently. Wouldn't mind seeing him and Estrada again but I don't see a difference. Estrada is the 3rd beat guy in the division imo. The challenges to Roman are all at 108 but they need time to mature.

Would be an even fight. Estrada is the goods.

estrada imo is the #1 at the division.

estrada's win over viloria is far superior than gonzalez's win over yageashi.

Also, I disagree and believe that Yaegashi is actually physically stronger than Estrada despite the fact that Estrada comes in completely shredded. It would still be a super competitive fight, but I just think that if Roman comes in 100% like he did here, he can stop Estrada who really has looked vulnerable in all of his fights (Viloria, Melindo, Sanchez, Gonzalez 1, etc.).

Let's not count out Segura though against Estrada. I have a feeling that Estrada is going to have to pull out a super tough effort if he is going to keep his title.
How do you know Gonzalez didn't take their first fight seriously? He is a consummate professional that was defending his title. And I've never been able to find the Estrada Sanchez Jr fight, but I know he dropped Sanchez in that fight. I don't think the fight is even available so maybe you saw it live or you just looked on boxrec idk about that. And Sanchez is freakishly tall and rangy for the weight they fought at and is a full fledged 118 lber now.

Yaegashi isn't a big flyweight, I think he filled out at the weight but he's a small man. Estrada has fought above 112 for more than half of his career, he's even fought above 118 before. Thats why i think Estrada is a very solid and phyisically stonger flyweight than Yaegashi.

Yeah forreal. A little nervous for Gonzalez in that one and I could see a rematch being a lot tougher.

After he floored Yaegashi in the 3rd, he fought intelligently -- waiting for his opponent to wear down... I thought Gonzalez was looking for a stoppage in the championship rounds, but Yaegashi crumbled from punches and exhaustion even earlier...
