I'd settle for at least on compelling fight out of Canelo. He couldn't compete against Mayweather and the Trout and Lara fights were dull. Not even a Mexican holiday can make this kid exciting.
props to canelo tbh hes can boot floyd off the may 2nd date because hes willing to take bigger risks. i still feel lara was robbed BUT i can let it go because i didnt think canelo would even take that fight and now hes saying he wants golovkin after cotto. mad respect
[QUOTE=Queen_Leia;15157162]Canelo is really adamant about going May 2nd.
If the cable distributor have to choose between Money and Canelo...they will go with a proven commodity
Canelo last two PPV buys -
300,000 - El Perro
350,000 - El Oro de Guantanamo
Money last two PPV buys -
925,000 - Chino II
900,000 - Chino I
The Golden Boy must really hate Money if he willing to sacrifice a proven PPV draw over some who doesn't even crack 500,000 buys.
Even when Money fought the Ghost, that fight did 825,000....still over 500.000
Canelo need to choose another date..why start a fight.[/QUOTE
Those are HORRIBLE numbers for Mayweather!!!!! It's rumored that Showtime lost a total of $16 million for the 2 Maidana fights.
Canelo is still young and early in his career. Floyd wasn't drawing near what Canel does at his age.
Canelo is adamant is fighting on May 2 and it's gonna happen regardless of what Floyd does. Canelo vs Cotto will draw on Cinco de Mayo weekend. If this hurts anyone, it will hurt Floyds #'s

alvared is'nt getting in there with GGG. the G-ster almost knocked alvareds head off with headgear in sparring.mosley was there and saw the action.
Chino II did not do 925,000 PPVs... show me proof of that number being official... I don't want to hear about projected numbers... You won't find the numbers because Showtime did not release Mayweather-Maidana II numbers...
Maywether-Maidana I had Amir Khan and Adrien Broner on the undercard also...
The past means nothing...
Canelo-Cotto is a much bigger fight than Mayweather-Khan especially on the Mexican-holiday date...
Use common sense and stop being a Floyd-worshiper...
I hope that means you are questioning Pac's numbers all the way back to Margarito, because Arum has not allowed official numbers to be released since then(I believe).
I dont post much, but some people here never stops to amaze me..It is a known fact that espinoza didnt want to release numbers,Then you go and say well, but it did a lot.How can you possible know that?..Also you are right with Khan, but it seems you fail to see what may second date means..What do you think mayweather chooses may 5?.
Are you saying that just because Espinoza doesn't post the numbers that there is no way for no one to ever find out. The PPV outlets know and if you are diligent news journalist..you can find out the numbers. They are not top secret, it just that if they are not good, HBO nor Showtime won't release them.

I never said that those are good number, compare to Money last fight..they are pretty bad numbers. However as bad as those numbers are, they are STILL light years better than Canelo two PPV outings. If Canelo could hit 900,000..he'd be doing backflips.
