I have been critical of PBC match ups and i'll admit it. Is my complaint Haymon hate related, no. Its about if you really want to put boxing back on the American map sports wise Haymon needs to make better match ups. Plus just because its on free tv doesn't mean people outside of the die hard only fanbase that supports boxing is going to flock to it. You need great matchups with the best fighting the best and my thinking is, if you want boxing to grow then show only the very best fights on network tv, just don't throw anything out there.

Now this fight is a step in the right direction. Two top guys going at it. Now hopefully Haymon will build on this and give us these kind of matchup. Because so far most of his fights have been showcase fights for his stars.

I give Haymon credit for making this fight and putting on free tv.

So Thurman/Guerrero, García/Peterson & Broner/Porter where not "steps in the right direction" also?....i swear you guys ***** WAAAAAAY too much, every damn fight can't be a super fight, no one does that, not even HBO and Top Rank. It's all just biased hate towards Al Haymon basically. 2014 sure was a down year but he has came back really nice...we are only halfway through the year and we've gotten several great matchs up already. Mares/Santa Cruz is just another example....BUT you guys will never be satisfied, that it's very clear.

hahaha get off haymons sack. This is literally the only anticipated fight he has put on. also nobody gives a **** about what channels boxing is on if its going to be complete mismatches

Most have been but I thought Broner/Porter was a good matchup despite the catchweight and Degale and Dirrell was another good one. Thurman and Guerrero wasn't half bad either.
