Comments Thread For: GGG's Coach: Liar Ward Needs To Become Relevant Again

Carson, California- The war of words between Gennady Golovkin's team members and super middleweight Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs) continues to play out.

While Ward has stood firm that he made an offer of 50/50 to fight Golovkin before a deal was finalized with David Lemieux, Golovkin's trainer Abel Sanchez says that’s completely untrue.

The fight aint happening. Not now and not for the forseeable future either.

Risk/reward math doesnt add up for GGG.

Not much more to talk about concerning these two.

the biggest circus act in boxing is GGG and his fans, the guy has racked up more than 10 title defenses against bums, cab drivers, and shot fighters, fkn clown and now he's fighting a guy that's been knocked out and had a war against NDam in the championship rounds, without the knockdowns that fight was very close and could've been a draw if we go by the judges scorecards

Level of opposition. Ward won the super 6, fought the best. GGG has been great & exciting in the ring, but I think froch could have given GGG a lot of problems with his long reach and great power. But kovalev sounds good. I was impressed by how many punches Pascal landed on the krusher. Ward will land many more, plus some extra stuff.

Great fight, let's hope it is made.

Let's just look at their resumes and see who is lying ..

I mean this is the same team that wanted Ward at a catchweight at 164 but would, fight Froch and Chavez Jr at 168 ..

Hopefully Ward goes ahead and beats Kovlev, and neither Canelo or Cotto give GGG a fight. The whole of 168 are Haymon guys besides Ward, and GGG won't even have the ward fight to look forward to. He'll be stuck at the wasteland that is 160, fighting the bums and guys who aren't ready to contend for belts.
