Throw in that Danny Garcia's "oh so cute" and his baby with the belt was just adorable, I don't care if this thing made money or lost money it was a success.

LMFAO your last sentence is ludicrous, with your standards almost anything can be considered a success.

a "good" rating for the major networks is several times the dismal ratings danny got on saturday. that was the least watched block of TV for the major networks. the ratings were a total bomb, considering that haymon pays money to put these guys on TV, and never does well selling tickets at the gate.

he's doing nothing for his fighters aside from getting them easy fights on TV.

he's not building them into stars by investing in them, the way he obviously thinks he is. at least i hope that's whta he's trying to do. in reailty, these guys are no bigger than they used to be, adn they will f#cking bomb on PPV
EXACTLY. The people who think these are good ratings are nuts. Fox just finished last in primetime and PBC finished with the worst rated show of any block in primetime. And the idea that by his guys fighting on PBC that it is turning them into stars is BS. Thurman was on the debut PBC card for NBC which did 3.4 rating (33% higher rating then Fox just did by the way) and his next fight drew an attendance of 4k in his own hometown and who knows what the real amount of tickets sold were with all the bogus free give aways that skew those numbers. But 4k in your home town in an arena that holds what 12k sure shows how PBC is building stars. Look at Deontay Wilder and Broner who a year earlier were both doing 1mil or more viewers on Showtime. Both fought on PBC and came back and are doing half the ratings on Showtime now. Broner couldn't even sell out his hometown in his next fight after coming back from PBC. There is no sign PBC is building ANY stars and the data we have so far says if anything the opposite is true. Meanwhile Haymon is flushing PBC investors money down the toilet with losses in the hundred millions in year 1 alone.

Haymon could serve Fetta a plate of fresh feces, and Fetta would say, "at least the peanuts are good", "and it was free!"

Is that all it takes, a few people in your workplace talking to you about the fight? There are objective ways to look at the situation, the event more than likely lost money and the ratings weren't great. Of course it's good that the fights entertained but that really doesn't say much.

Oh as boxing fans we dont want to be entertained we want to know if they made money or not? That right there is all i need to know about you as a boxing fan. NSB doesnt have many boxing fans but they have tons of "accounting fans"

Please tell me why any network is going to pay a dime for PBC when it looks like second rate boxing and is losing so much money each time out? The 2 biggest fights PBC could make IT COULD NOT EVEN AFFORD TO AIR UNDER THE PBC BRAND! Jacobs vs Quillin first announced as a PBC fight get's pushed to Showtime because Haymon knows the fight will lose too much money on PBC if they pay for it. Thurman vs Porter first announced to air on PBC on NBC what back in Nov/Dec keeps getting moved and pushed back and finally moved to a Showtime on CBS instead of a PBC fight.

The overall star power you saw in the first half of last year's PBC is now gone. Why because the ratings stink which means you can't charge much for advertisement it's all based on the ratings you pull. The big names under Haymon can't fight on PBC because it's too much money and PBC knows the ratings are in the toilet so they are trying to limit their loses and shipping these expensive fights to Showtime. And you think this will get PBC a network deal? Newsflash the networks only agreed to PBC because there was no risk and it's all time buy's with PBC paying everything on their own. The networks are paid up front whether the fights flop or not. But when the PBC money runs or the investors pull the cord because the the debt is too huge to come back from no network is going to pay for PBC.
