I'd say who cares but it's only a good thing that these events sell well and do good ppv numbers, we need more fights like Postsl Bud and Krusher Ward.

Ward vs Kovalev is obviously gonna sell. How many tickets did ward sell vs brand or vs barrera or vs smith?

it isn't too hard isn't it?
What did Kovalev sell the last time he fought in Vegas? Where has Kovalev ever sold ticktes in the U.S.? He has to travel to the challengers hometown to sell tickets.

Cuz I think people buy tickets &/or get tickets only to sell on the secondary markets for a profit.

Admittedly I don't know all the ins & outs of that **** its just something I'm seeing more & more & know there is more going on behind the scenes with. Plus I have trouble believing this fight is selling $2M worth of legit tickets via fans looking to attend the fight in a couple days. Maybe I've overlooked their previous popularity, but I tend to think this is more ticket tomfoolery like is going on more & more these days in the boxing industry by promoters, managers & fighters themselves.

The cheapest tickets are $100. I don't expect them to fill the whole 20,000 seats but in Vegas it's not hard to do a $4 mil gate. And if they're buying them to sell on the secondary market that means there's a demand for tickets.

I don't really pay attention to gate sales for non-huge fights so idk what its hard not to do in Vegas, but $2M worth of ticket sales for this fight in 48hrs seems high to me, but **** man maybe its not. Maybe lotsa fights at this level are selling $2M worth of tickets in 48hrs.

Sure, but its also a bet you can sell whatever you bought which could be a good or bad investment & end with or without a profit. Like I said I don't know exactly what people are doing with boxing tickets (or tickets for concerts or other events), but for sure there is some hustles with ticket sales. Every Joshua fight sales out in 32 seconds & they don't seem to be rising ticket prices at the event. Floyd was buying a couple hundro thousand worth of tickets for his last several fights along with a few other Haymon fighters iirc. There is some secondary sales profiting going after tickets are sold imo. And fair enough with all that. Make money, but my main stance is I don't take ticket info as a very meaningful statistic these days for anything due to all these ticket selling hustles I suspect are going on behind the scenes.

So tell me, what is the wrong information that the media is telling us as you say in your opening post?

The lie about Ward not being a draw. And even if it were true, which it isn't, why should that have stopped a good fight from happening? Kovalev isn't a draw but the fight is happening

I'll wait to see the arena fight night and the PPV numbers but I hope this is as good news as it sounds. Excellent matchups like this one are the ones I'm rooting do well financially to incentive further good match making.

Just might make it out to Vegas for this one myself.
